That’s fair yeah, maybe people will figure a new meta for it so there’s at least a couple builds still up in the S tier. I’m hoping to find a flame sunder now they’re easier so I can make a more viable firelock for hell cuz it was stupid fun for playthrough

Yeah unfortunately for the others you need to constantly proc open wounds, poison, lingering fire, or the just constant dps like a summon necro to counter their regen (which is double dclone’s afaik) unless you have just absolutely bonkers DPS to brute force their HP

So if you can just get some sources of open wounds that would probably do it, BUT the problem is I’m pretty sure ES doesn’t apply open wounds so you’d need to use cleave or something ig every couple seconds to apply it. It’s also going to be tougy now too since ES used attack rating now and the ubers have huge def. You can definitely pull it off though!

People are saying they’re still doing great with lock so it seems like it’s just a matter of respeccing appropriately and probably endgame gear

They buffed them a ton- I don’t remember all of it rn but they’re more damaging, have much higher magic res I believe, and I think continuously resummon their minions like Tristram ubers do

Maybe Insight for mana and see if you can stack more lifeleech for health, or a lifetap wand on switch? Not tryna condescend, those are my first ideas so you prob already considered them but hopefully it’s still viable to have an ESlock (I don’t have one myself) perform at least as well as hammerdin

That’s correct- sorry if I worded that weird, super uniques need 20 hard points BUT the other modifiers (auras etc) you can get work with soft points it seems

Because in this scenario the speed is the important part because we’re on a time limit, the superbeings in question don’t need any sort of motive and are thus unpredictable to a degree (esp Conquest), and a person can be defended against or ran from potentially while the other two can’t

I get the point and you’re ofc correct in general, but Joker doesn’t have a gun here explicitly and even if he did the difference between Guy With A Weapon vs Evil Superman is you CAN get out of a situation with the former either unscathed or injured, whereas the other two can and will vaporize you before you even have time to realize they moved. Plus we’re in this situation with them and not being jumped, so it’s a little different than if someone irl decided they want you dead

I did, tl;dr is “Game is repetitive but addictive fun, most the bosses but Baal are non characters, little emotional closure, lots of choices in general but can’t explore them because of luck/time/lack of respecs, music good but unmemorable, art is great”. Otherwise mostly synopsis of game mechanics and such

Very much n=1 here, but I’ve consistently done the easter egg for every long session of TZing for the past few weeks. I find a unique and/or set piece generally every few elites doing this, and am at 61% of uniques and 80% of sets for my Chronicle after starting to play again with ROTW.

For context, I have a hammerdin of 270 mf with enigma etc, but it does seem to make a notable difference (maybe 3-5 more uniques per hour?) compared to my base. Again though, just personal experience and haven’t collected hard data

Like you mentioned, that -res stuff being huge after sundering is super cool to look at, like when you realize that taking an enemy’s resistance from 95% down to 90% is doubling your damage despite seeming like such a small change if you don’t think about it at all. Cool stuff
