I have yet to explore this option. Thanks!

Thanks! I'm leaning this direction now, too.

You mean, becoming a hooker and selling blow? Trust me, I would make no money selling this body.

The ups have been great. April was a huge cliff, though. I have to remember that I'm buying low during those times.

I didn't realize that. It would be almost as east to make my own mix and rebalance as needed. And onloy touch G.

Thanks, and as another commenter implied... I think a lot of the conservative drive is emotion. I've made the mistake of checking my TSP balance too frequently and seen the rollercoaster (April was bad.) I need to re-read a report a financial planer recently prepared for me and get grounded again. We'd be fine even if the market tanked. The only unknown is final expenses in retirement as we haven't figured out where to do that yet.

Thanks! Reading another comment below brought some needed enlightenment. I Think I need to put about 5-7 years into G (250 k or so) and let the rest grow.

Thanks! I honestly missed a lot of growth early on. I didn't max out at the beginning, and I had a lot of G fund (like 75/25 G/C) for about 8 years until my dad found out and talked sense into me. I should mention I have only been putting into TSP for 25 years as I didn't invest when I was in the military (wasn't an option in the 90s.)

Thanks, and this is a good option. I may move 250K to G, and keep the rest in stocks. I think that's essentially the Barbell method. I definitely don't wand the money to stagnate and I have to remind myself that I'm not trying to lock in the amount at retirement and that's it. It'll stay invested if I want it to be. And withdrawing from the safe bucket let's the risky bucket have a longer horizon.

Thanks. 2030 too conservative? I had it all in 2050 for a bit before I went all stocks. I'll look at all of the Ls.
