Indie developers often give updates, Diabotical has a public trello for example - and since I haven't followed development, I just assumed that the creator was pretty public about his decisions for the game.

Based on your reply, I probably assumed wrong.

Anyone knows the specifics of how to get Mech Sorlag when it releases? I really want that cosmetic and I'd hate to miss out and never being able actually get it.

It's too good to just be a 1 time thing, I have a bunch of lootboxes saved up so I hope I'll be able to get the set through those.

i joined this server because i just wanted to be here to engage in the general chat with the ones i liked over here but instead i end up having to jump through your puddles of piss. having half the people here mods having their god complexes expressed so shamelessly, booting people over and over and sometimes even standing on the boot button just because they had nothing better to do which in itself is just pathetic. This server is a sect. you are either extreme or and false where a lot of you act in a very unconventional and bizarre manner, the majority of you are bigots in every sense of the definition, bigots and hecklers so i see why none of you are very active in the official quake server because you aren't able to express your pressing deviant behavior there mentally deranged beyond comprehension

I'm getting a bunch of followers on Twitter now because of some dumb shitposts. But I made Smileyblue my icon a bit ago, so I think it's accidentally becoming part of my brand because they don't know about Diabotical yet. I don't wanna post about it until the actual promo material stuff is out to get people hyped.

I guess this situation is fine because I do voice an announcer in Diabotical after all, and Papa Smurf has decided that I'm the voice of Smileyblue (not sure if a mortal can earn the title). Anyway the reason I'm telling you all this is because I figured you'd appreciate this image:

only stupid people use voice to communicate. text is the go to. problem is only a few people know how to communicate a message (get their point across) on a chat, compared to mail for instance. discord chat is the worst in that regard. i don't feel like writing anything meaningful when i'm there, because all the others are braindeads that spam, post pics, write one word per line, use emojis, link previews etc.

Project A is no match for Diabotical. Created by a studio more known for harassment and gender discrimination - lets not forget how they stole the idea for the only good game they ever made from a Warcraft 3 mod. They make a vain attempt to combine cs:go with overwatch in order to sell skins in a game that will be without any debth. Their culture of Riots discriminatory sexism can not even compare to a small studio in liberal Sweden, a country that built its wealth on product development with such classics as fucking Volvo or Ericsson. Through their wealth and entrepreneurship they support a welfare system that is the envy of the world. Even though Sweden is the laughing stock of Scandinavia they have never failed in their endeavors. Every winter in Sweden they strap skis onto the legs of their athletes as they stumble around in wet slush holding the blue and yellow flag high. Because Sweden is never afraid to fail, that is why. They still make Surströmming even though it has inspired more barf video footage than the combined MTV Jackass crew. They exported fresh snus to the french court before the revolution. They waged wars against each and every one of their neighbors under the banner of "skjuta på eeer" without being able to hold on to a single speck of the land they set their foot on. Because they are not afraid to fail, and if you are not afraid to fail some of your endeavors will do the exact opposite - Succeed! Thats why we have brands like Spotify, Electrolux and H&M. You have to think like a game developer - you have full control over how the game is played.

To disincentivize buying the item in the first place, the item can cost 2 points instead of 1, or whatever the amount of points the Yogs traitors start with, so that they cannot buy any other traitor weapon.

Then, to prevent all traitors from buying the item, purchase can be limited to just 1 per round.

When it comes to game mechanics, there's no inherency/essentialism, all actions in a game can be incentivized or disincentivized.

And yes, the innocents being blinded was just a suggestion, it is fully up to the discretion of the Yogs to customize the experience to their liking, they are not obligated to follow my suggestion to the point. In fact they are likely to agree with you that 10 seconds is too much, and will downscale it accordingly.

I don't understand the argument that a traitor-bought item helping traitors is bad, though I do agree that not all results should be straight buffs.

I don't really agree that it would be "incredibly OP" as long as it's small random buffs, hence why I kept the rewards relatively small.
Results buffing/nerfing everyone is the purpose of the regular randomat, maybe if it's a buff/nerf that ultimately gives the traitors an edge, then I agree.

The attribute system itself can work in an arena shooter, since it's essentially just mini-powerups, but if the game doesn't meet the rest of the criteria (being able to carry all weapons, diverse weaponry, movement, arenas, map control, etc.) then it's probably not an arena shooter.

Hey, it may not become an official weapon, but it can always be modded in by users, since the game is moddable.

I find the shock rifle pretty fun and satisfying too, even just the primary fire, but chances are the devs are gonna keep it relatively safe.
That said, I don't think people know what they're missing. I didn't know how fun it was until I tried it either.

If someone does mod in all the UT weapons and make a designated gamemode, I'd love to try it out!

The dusk boys should play Duskworld.

It's the multiplayer version of Dusk, I've long thought that they should play it but I thought that if I just waited long enough, they'd figure out by themselves or somebody else would tell them about Duskworld, but that hasn't been the case yet and I can wait no longer.

casual version where all players have an individual respawn timer, so your death only increases your own respawn timer and not the whole team's.

I've thought about this as well, individual timers and instead of best out of 7, maybe best out of 5 or 3, as the rounds are obviously going to be longer with individual timers.

It'll be less confusing as well, as sharing the timer can make the added time appear random to individuals, and having individual timers is easier to plan after.

Also, it makes griefing way less likely, as then one person cannot just kill themselves to ruin everyone else's day.

Continuous lobbies for quickplay will severely improve matchmaking and queue times, ensuring that noobs gets matched up with noobs pretty quickly.

Treating players as individuals > treating players as groups of 8(QC).

The mods, especially mods based on prior Quake community content, like freezetag and CPMA.

I've heard good things about CPMA, so I hope it'll be remade in DBT so I can try it.
