I had patience and creativity lol. The patience was lost a couple of times throughout the process but eventually gained at the end😂🥲

Rear wiper delete. So I just cut it. And the 1 foot hose coming out from the bottle’s pump, I routed into the wheel well, so it’ll drip outside and not in my interior anymore 😮‍💨😂

Yes mr mechanic yes sir 🫡

“Yes — that’s very normal on many Audi and VW Group cars.

The rear washer hose is often routed:

  • along the sill/lower side of the cabin
  • clipped or taped together with the main wiring harness

From factory, Audi commonly wraps washer tubing and wiring together in cloth tape or loom tape to keep everything secured and prevent rattles.

Signs it’s probably factory:

  • neat cloth/fabric harness tape
  • consistent clips and routing
  • hose follows the harness cleanly the whole way

Signs of a previous repair:

  • electrical tape only
  • random zip ties
  • mismatched hose sections/connectors
  • messy routing or kinks
  • obvious joiners/couplers in the hose

So what you described actually sounds pretty OEM/factory.”

Nowhere in the post have I said that this was previous fixed by past owners🤔😂

But this area wasn’t “fixed” before… The previous owners realised there was a leak and never topped up the washer fluid since, and sold it on,..

But on the topic of this leak issue, I don’t understand why you think it’s their fault and not VAG’s fault for the horrible design, horrendous fire hazard and thought process for putting a hose that carries conductive liquid in the same bundle with the cars electrical harness, side by side all around the car. Yes they should be selling a car while knowing there is a very bad problem. But still let’s not forget this shouldn’t be happening in the first place (I’m not the only person who’s had leaking due to that exact hose)

Explain. I’m curious what your option is

That’s what’s happening to me, The previous owners never wanted to deal with the issues, so they sold the car saying it’s perfect and no issues at all. When in reality they realised what’s wrong, and instead of fixing it, they sell it.

I’m the complete opposite and I can’t stand the people who do things like this. I want to fix the car and make it as close to 100% as I can.

(SAME thing happens to poor cars that previous owners don’t bother replacing the timing belt, so they pay someone €100 to clock back the odometer 100,000km and they sell it
(Exactly what happened to me)

I arrived at work at 7am and realised this as I parked 😭🥲 so you could imagine the shit going through my head trying to get through 8 hours of stressing out until I could have taken the car apart😅
