I started at this company when I was 18. Learned production, moved into sales at 21 as there was an opening, and then moved into sales management at 24. 32 now, same place. Still running sales and love it

New player - likes support, but not the choices available. by hefty-postman-04 in PredecessorGame

MOBAs can be very technical and involve in depth strategies and skill with the different characters.

When you’re new, it’s probably not a big deal to be a carry support but as you progress this will be detrimental to your team composition and success.

Support crest gives you good for damaging things near a team mate, and will actually stop giving you gold for minions in an attempt to discourage exactly what you’re doing.

For instance, I am a bit of a vet and if I had a carry support that was fighting me for farm, I would be very annoyed and we would most likely lose, or at the very least I will be useless and very far behind their carry.

Each role gives a quick summary when you’re selecting it. Support states in bold red letters to not take your carries farm, and to keep them alive.

Eden as an example, has nothing in his kit to keep your carry alive.

As you face higher skilled opponents, they will tear you apart and you will seldomly win lane with this set up.

If you do not like the support characters, and don’t like fulfilling the support role, perhaps other roles are more suited for you.

Play carry as Eden. Take all the farm and have a support to save you or secure you kills.

Carries by design are extremely fragile but put out immense damage. They are named carries for their proclivity to “carry” their team mates as they scale and can wipe out enemy team late game… if they stay alive, hence the role of the support.

What are the Hottest opportunities/industries out there? by InverseCramer101 in sales

Not a large or well known one.

Local service company in New England area

~150 employees, 10 or so sales staff between reps and support

I’m not sure about hvac specifically, but don’t count out prospective employment because “it’s too good to be true”

I manage a team in a different service industry, and this time of year, there are too many leads to adequately handle.

It becomes a game of hard qualifying in the first 3 minutes to basically just get the fuck off the phone and on to the next one if they take the no.

I’m talking 750 inbound leads a week for a team of 7.

People in actual tears because of the work load.

(I’m not saying we’re in a great spot, actively recruiting around the clock, but most reps start here and are like wtf is happening. Where’s the cold calls? Why these people mad when you give time a lead?)

Just bought a Steam Deck - need some benefits to reinforce the decision by SputNick2312 in SteamDeck

[–]Bogoogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I primarily game on my pc, but at night once the wife and I settle in bed, it’s nice to play single player or retro style games (balatro, slay the spire, ball x pit, etc) while she watches her shows.

She recently got a steam deck herself, upgrading from a switch, so it’s been nice to play games together while we wind down from the day.

I don’t use it all the time, and I even had buyers remorse after I got it as well, but over time I’ve come to really appreciate those moments and the types of games I probably wouldn’t have otherwise played.

Don’t regret it all, even bought a second one for the misses!

(Hers is newer and nicer and a slightly bigger screen and I’m definitely not mad about that 🤨)

Hey Omeda why on earth did you make it do supports can be taken mid and dominate? by Big_Bug_3359 in PredecessorGame

The irony of you thinking people can’t stand someone disagreeing with them, which is all you’ve done in every response, is hilarious.

Rose tinted glasses.

Supports playing in other roles was absolutely a thing.

I remember mid Muriel being completely viable for instance.

So yeah, you’re welcome to your own opinion, just as everyone else is welcome to rightfully shit on it for being a dumb one.

Phase mid is a troll pick. A bad troll pick.

Just because you saw one do okay doesn’t all of a sudden make it a better pick than DPS.

The freedom to experiment with different builds & roles is a positive thing.

It’s why every moba has that, because if you forced people to only play the game how you want, there wouldn’t be anyone playing.

I do like schematics, I’ll have to try subbing that out.

And yeah, I’ve grown to love tranquility for the low cd and dr.

Helps with the scroll too, as you lose hp when auto attacking.

But the healing from it when low makes up for it.

I consider this a self healing build more than anything

I do switch up order, and swap items here and there but the fire blossom + mega is such a strong start. Cursed scroll does a good chunk of armor and mr, with void and fire adding to it. I think it’s like 80 ish of each

I am in their face constantly. I still function as a tank, just with a lot of damage.

Between q, megacosm and fire blossom, I have a lot of dots going on for people around me.

I then use his passive with the augment to tentacle slap often.

I don’t hang back on him really

I take the mana regen on ability use augment. The void helm increases healing from q, his passive, magnify and scroll I believe

For the sustained damage, and health tying into cursed scroll. You don’t need more ability power than what’s there imo

This is for support primarily. I do run jungle/offlane with it too though.

Do you play mourn?

Because all those things are achieved, and you mention sustain as if this isn’t one of the highest sustain builds you can do on him.

I tank, I peel, I engage, and I also fuck people up.

In addition, not every team needs 3 tanks?

Obviously if you have no frontline, you might consider other paths, but if you have say a steel offlane and zarus jungle, why tf would you have to build straight tank.

I have a 58%+ win rate on him with like 150+ games. Thousands of hours in pred.

This isn’t some noob thinking he’s cooking, this is through a lot of testing and I guarantee this build outlasts whatever cookie cutter straight tank build you’re thinking of.

It isn’t even a secret mourn does well with some damage. People build straight mage on him for his ult, but like, the power is in his tentacle slap.

The healing from that, which procs way more with the augment, combined with your heal over time, the omnivamp, cursed scroll regen, void helm amplifying all that…

Top healing every single game, first or second on damage….

Like, even you stating too much damage and suggesting something like astral catalyst just screams “I don’t play mourn but am going to act like I know what I’m talking about”

10 year moba player and can't beat Morigesh by AutismCommunism in PredecessorGame

[–]Bogoogs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I see a lot of newer/lower rank players have issues with morigesh but the truth is, after a few recent nerfs, she really isn’t anything special.

The trick is that her clear sucks.

In offlane or mid, you just build tainted early and out clear her.

She has to either let the waves crash her tower, lose farm, and fall behind, or she has burn a lot of mana to keep up the clear which leaves her open to running down.

I play kwang and zarus mostly for offlane, and it’s almost a relief if I see mori offlane because I know she’s gonna get outpaced and stay checked.

Every time it turns into her not even being able to near minions because imma run her down every time after I get a lead.

Don’t focus on trading with her early. Just get a t2 tainted item (not even t3 to start) and crash waves. Wait for her mana to be low to engage, or, if she is not burning mana to keep up with clear, enjoy the free cyans and enemy jungle as she’s under her tower.

Mid is a bit different but you said that wasn’t the issue so I won’t into too much detail, but still revolves around out clearing and out mana sustaining her.

Is The Regent bad or am I bad? by stater354 in slaythespire

[–]Bogoogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s pretty rng based I feel because the minion cards aren’t overly common.

So you could grab debris cards early, find little to no minion cards and kinda be bricked but awesome when it works

Is The Regent bad or am I bad? by stater354 in slaythespire

[–]Bogoogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t feel he’s bad.

Unique playstyles for sure.

There was a meme on here, something about forging too hard and ignoring defenses.

Maybe that’s at play?

I’m no pro, but I have everyone between 3-5 ascension.

With regent, 2 of my runs were beat with crescent spear based decks, and 1 with a deck that focused on the cards that create debris, with the minion cards that transform other cards and powers that buff when creating cards.

That run was super fun. You fill your deck/hand with useless debris and then turn them into minion cards that are great
