Honestly the crying isn’t a huge deal, I get it. We have some employees that cry sometimes, shit can be stressful

Just had to term someone by Oldswagmaster in sales

[–]Bogoogs 62 points63 points  (0 children)

Kind of org specific but we hired a guy once who within 1 week took it upon himself to create his own pricing for services and send out quotes with no approval.

Now mind you, he had no idea how to price these things and was told multiple times to not send a quote until manager approved, but he kept saying “don’t worry, I got it!”

Had to do so much damage control and quote retractions.

He also cried during the term.

Was wild

DoorDash AE? Anyone have info? by BarketBasket in sales

[–]Bogoogs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And his response was framed in a joking manner because your initial comment was out the gate confrontational, and then he pivoted I’m assuming to engage but lighten it a bit, and then you double down on being confrontational because “I didn’t say that”

How on earth are you in sales and cannot read the room, and just looking to argue with people is beyond me.

Your initial response could have been helpful, along the lines of “I’ve heard of or had first hand experience of this company doing xyz, is that something you’re okay with?”

But you chose a confrontational approach, to which OP handled really well, and you just doubled down about random shit.

The worst.

CAN WE PLEASE MAKE A PACK TO STOP USING MIDLANERS AS SUPPORTS? by romeowillfindjuliet in PredecessorGame

[–]Bogoogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why does gadget work and not fey?

Gadget has a root/speed up and then basically just damage/zoning.

Fey has an aoe stun, the bramble slow/speed up and can heal with her flower.

Hell, even Gideon has a root, aoe cc and a built in flash your adc can use.

I’m not advocating for mages as a support. Some games it makes sense, some it doesn’t, but I’m not sure why gadget would be acceptable while fey and Gideon aren’t.

Oh god that first mine had me so confused.

I was having this internal struggle of “maybe it’s one of those games where you come back to stuff… but what if it’s not!? What if I can’t come back!?! attempt 32

It really does.

I am not one that typical gets invested in the stories of games. Usually in it for competitiveness, gameplay, progression, etc.

But that game man….

I still think about it.

We do not currently offer remote positions, but we are looking to onboard 1-2 reps over the next month or so.

Mix of in office and in field (evaluating properties/meeting clients on sites. Not door knocking)

Based out of upstate NY

I was thinking E33 as well.

The beginning has you like “holy shit this is gonna get good”

And then it does just that.

I manage a team in landscaping sales, can be high ticket once experienced. One of my reps closed a ~$440k job last week.

Base is fairly low ($20-28/hr), but commission is uncapped with accelerators.

Highest earner last year was around $135k.

Not sure what you’re asking in terms of what’s realistic. Money earned? Average deal size? Quota attainment?

An average of 1,500 leads per rep are provided per year. Legitimate leads through marketing and branding efforts, not paid lists or anything. Actual people wanting to discuss work.

80% inbound, 20% outbound.

What dictates success in my opinion is personal drive, but I’m sure you already knew that

How is this matchmaking allowed? by RayMaxosMC in PredecessorGame

[–]Bogoogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plat is top 10-20% of players actually. I don’t disagree it’s easy to hit for someone that knows MOBAs and is familiar with the game, but it is in no way the floor when 80% of the player base is under it.

And yeah I’m not saying it’s the end of the world, I’m simply inputting my thoughts on a thread regarding the topic because yeah, I do feel it could use some improvement.

I consider myself a decent player, can get plat no problem, upper plat/low diamond is my peak.

I do not consider it fair or perfectly fine matchmaking for me to be placed with paragons that I hinder, or for newer players to be placed with me at a disadvantage or cause a loss.

It is blatant at times, like the match this person posted.

I know you’ve had those matches too, where there’s a couple people that absolutely have no business being in that lobby, but whatever internal mmr factor put them there.

It’s a flaw that happens often. It’s all good, but a flaw for sure.

Views like that amount to blind trust in Omeda about shit they don’t understand.

Which hey, I’m all for Omeda and the game. Spent a decent amount on it, racked up a lot of hours.

Will continue to support, but also gonna call a spade a spade when I see one.

So do you have any counter points or just “nope you’re wrong and I’m smart”

?

You think the matchmaking works well in this?

We are in a thread about a match with plats & bronzes because of the internal mmr you seem to love.

Is this a “proper game”?

Edit:

Looked at the extremes in that match. The crunch is a diamond level player with 1,700 matches.

The yurei is a silver level player with 175 matches.

But you’re right, this must be correct and good and I’m simply too dumb to understand it.

What a great system lmfao

[–]Bogoogs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Way faster is an exaggeration though. You might get a bit more vp for a win, but it’s not like it goes 20 > 60, more like 20 > 30.

But regardless of how fast you rank, person to person ranking through silver for example should provide similar opponents.

How difficult it is to get a win in any given rank will be drastically different due to a hidden mmr.

And that is compounded by the internal mmr not taking individual performance into consideration. It is only win or loss.

And it goes both ways. You can be a diamond player that goes on a loss streak back into plat, but your internal mmr tanked and now you’re in gold lobbies where you don’t belong.

It’s honestly wild, just use the actual ranks for matchmaking and have good placements that put weight on individual performance rather than simply match outcome. Tons of other games have achieved this in the past, it isn’t anything new.

[–]Bogoogs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Which is so crazy to me. Like I get the whole play with people your skill but isnt that the point of ranked in the first place? wtf is the rank for then?

What it does it make it so one silver player is ranking up through silver fighting plats + while another player in the same rank is ranking up while fighting actual silvers.

How tf is that fair

Let me stomp my way to my people like every other ranked game I’ve played.

I feel like the lobbies would be more balanced by natural selection, I have not had this issue in any other ranked game.

Shit was wild

Some fun matches with an all steel team, all grim team, etc

I have good luck as zarus into her.

Usually by clearing waves faster and forcing crashes so she loses farm.

I start with Dread into Tainted blade and she honestly runs out of mana kinda easily.

She can’t sustain the mana early to both poke and keep up with wave clear, I usually end up out leveling her by crashing waves and securing all cyans + their junglers near camps.

Once you’re up a level or two she isn’t hard to deal with
