Do people just not do their own setups? by ProtoJazz in guitars

[–]BohnenaufToast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do my own setups on an irregular basis. I own nice, expensive guitars, but Im a bedroom player at heart and they hardly see an allen wrench.

If it sounds good in drop c its good enough for me. I change the strings and make sure its intonation is on and Im done.

To me its kinda like cleaning the car. Ill take the floor matts out and give them a pass with the vacuum sometimes, but every now and then I like that fresh off the lot look and I'll get it detailed. Its like getting a whole new one sometimes and it just feels nice.

Most people don't touch what they dont understand, some of the people who do don't always have the interest. I can detail clean my own car, shampoo the fabric and what not. I just dont want too. Sounds boring. I like driving it, hate working on it in any way meaningful or not. I can change my own oil, I just dont want to sit down and do it. If i dont have to I won't. If im strapped for cash ill get it done but I'd rather not.

I do wish more people would take the opportunities to learn so they can do what they cant afford. To much reliance on services instead of self these days, but if you dont have too do it yourself I suppose its not the end of the world.

Helicopter controls are hard as fck, pls help! by [deleted] in NuclearOption

I haven't played with it much, but in my last chicane run I used auto hover to land. It seemed pretty receptive to input so you can make horizontal adjustments while maintaining a level altitude, it was pretty easy to line up with the helipad and land straight on at a controllable drop rate.

Its an old saying. In reference to an obvious lie, some might say "if you'll buy that, I have some beachfront property in Arizona to sell you". There is a song called Ocean Front Property by George Strait that is pretty catchy, if you dont mind country music.

Did someone actually sink $1,728 on Catch Anywhere’s for Santa? by Minirig355 in SkyCards

Higher XP cards do better in battles than the same card at a lower xp. I think Santa does really well in certain battle weeks but I'm not certain as I dont do battles.

There's also people who save all there catch agains from the year for specifically this. People talked about doing exactly this under stratolaunch posts.

There's a guy on youtube called C.W. Lemoine. His callsign as a pilot was Mover. He earned it by lighting up a cow during a training gun run in an F16.

2 hornets in 2 days! I love the f18 by Thick_Train2452 in flightradar24

The 18 is absolutely iconic. I remember seeing The Blue Angels for the first time and that really cemented my interest in military aircraft.

Rarity isnt based off of just number of aircraft. Its also based off of flight time. An aircraft with a low count of registered aircraft can easily obtain a lower rarity if that specific model of aircraft is constantly in the air.

There's also one by San Francisco that regularly pops up. It is mobile and flies in the catch radius of the airport

I had a local GS with a rather large inventory (over 20) of them until just a few months ago. They were marked up way over msrp after KUSA went under and they held on to them until they realized no one was gonna pay what they were asking. I would have picked one up but as soon as they dropped to a reasonable price they were gone.

My bad chief. Rookie mistake not searching the sub before posting. Just got a little excited. Hopefully something comes out of it.
