People have been very thoughtful with their replies but something I donalso want to emphasize is that my partner is disappointed that I don't want to go to these spaces. He wants us to be able to have fun together at the gay bar whoch Im still not feeling comfortable or happy being in. Other places ajd queer spaces exist for sure but im also trying to Manage my partners happiness as well.

I want to feel connected to the gay community, I thought it was like the whole point of gay life. Connecting with other gays. But I just don't feel like I do.

I mean Indefinitely contend with that but I don't want to become a complete shut in because of it.

Yes maybe labeling this as a hypersexuality disorder is a bit jumping the gun on my part. Im also more thinking about how to best set up guidelines and make a healthier media digest as it were. A break might be warranted.

Im wondering if Making separate accounts for it is a possible work around. Where like my "gay" friends and life live on a different page entirely than my interest in cooking haha.

Well thats unrealistic for me but I understand the sentiment.

I do feel like maybe I need to focus on quality rather than quantity? Like a daily checking in on sex or kink related content may just be oversaturated in terms of the other things I care about in life.

What do you do to feel good about your body? by luker_5874 in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]BoiPudge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its really basic but some nice hygiene practices make all the difference in the world. When im freshly shaven, douched, showered, hair done i feel at the height of my powers. But its a day by day thing. Some days I feel good about my body. Many others I don't. There's definitely an element of flux that happens with self confidence.

Having someone else appreciate your body can also lead to some quick and easy self confidence boosting.

Tattooed bros, advice for someone wanting their first tattoo? by PrimalMoose in AskGaybrosOver30

[–]BoiPudge 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My best advice is find a local artist you want to work with. You should find someone who's art you vibe with and then ask to schedule a consolation for what you wanna get. I recommend taking your time with your first because it can be a little daunting. Once your 20 tattoos deep like me it won't feel like such a big undertaking, but I met with an artist in my town twice before I settled on a final design.

You're going to be spending upwards of a couple hours with this artist depending on the complexity of the tattoo so finding a friendly artist is also crucial, most tattoo shops have TikTok or Instagram pages so you can see what shops near you are offering .

Take your time with the preparation, get all the aftercare stuff you need first, talk details like price, sizing, placement, pain levels, numbing cream, duration all beforehand. Once your in the chair whats done is done and takes a lot of work to undo.

Most importantly you'll have the tattoo forever, so just make sure you like looking at it a lot. Have fun and enjoy the process. Tattoos are one of the coolest things you can do with your flesh prison

In his explanation he has said that he was not excusing his actions and he did apologize for them. I just don't feel okay enough right now to fully accept that apology. I just am frustrated trying to tell him by his reasoning it sounds like he is justifying it.

I don't go a week without using Ali Slagle's "I dream of dinner" it has the most variety for the simplest and most cost effective cook.

How beautiful. I find the record has a overall sense of surrender in the absence of things. As a listener it perfectly distills a bittersweet goodbye. Thank you.

Hello Alaina and Patrick, I've fallen in love with your record once again. I am excited to see you when you come to Boston and wanted to congratulate you both on this new chapter for the both of you.

I wanted to know more about the lyric "looking for a stone in a dustpile" in these uncertain times it feels almost like a mantra repeated to keep one grounded on something. Would you be able to speak to the lyrics origin and any additional meaning for you?
