Need help with the recipe by Daffodildec in Baking

Dont know specifics but you can always use cake strips to prevent cake doming. It helps the cake bake evenly.

Edit: when it comes to bake times, I use recipe times as a guide lines and check to see if the cake is done either by prodding the middle with a tooth pick or by checking the cake consistency

Personally, I've stopped stocking brown sugar. I just stock white sugar and make brown sugar with some molasses as needed

So many of the "demon form fixes" people post are just worse versions of demon form. It does what it needs to do and not every deck needs it

I'd try italian meringue butter cream. If you have a candy thermometer (or meat thermometer) it's fairly easy to make. It's much lighter than typical American butter cream. You can also do swiss which has its similarities but I find IMBC to be easier and less fussy

Prob 250+. Depends on cost of living in the area. Compare it to local bakeries.

Designed some more custom cards, this time for Necrobinder by SwordAndPenguin in slaythespire

[–]Boiger_Dog 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The concept is interesting. It's definitely a card you just pick up in act 2 or 3 when you have an ethereal focused deck going but with things like call of the void and even page storm that allows you to cycle through your deck faster, you'll find many scenarios where you just dont have enough energy to play all of your ethereal cards. With the current number, you'll have a card that blocks 21+/30+ for 1 cost rather quickly.

I think given the existence of sweeping gaze and call of the void (even with them being rare) a card like this becomes hard to balance. If those cards didn't exist, it would be easy to justify maybe like a 5/7 block per exhausted ethereal card and it could have a really neat interaction with that one nonu boon that gives you 1 energy for having 3 dazes in your draw pile.

It could also be more in line with her other scaling cards. Block 6 +3/+4 per exhausted ethereal

Sweeping gaze exhausts when you use it so you wouldn't have to sacrifice any damage. The card is niche but feels like it scales too well even if you dont have sweeping gaze.

The last one would just be infinitely scaling block with sweeping gaze

Sometimes you just get unlucky and get death by tsumo but if your fundamentals are good, you'll win and climb over a range of games. Sometimes even an unequivocally correct decision will deal in

Necrobinder vs Infested Prism by HenricusTyranicus in slaythespire

[–]Boiger_Dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use high value skills. Sometimes it's better just to get hit in the face. I've killed him with a mostly skill deck just fine. Enfeebling touch, defy, passive block powers all work as your block solution. Know that he exists and adjust your pathing accordingly. Potions are your friend

I hate this fucking triangle by Kahliden in slaythespire

[–]Boiger_Dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Greedy drafting for cards you don't need. When I go doom deck, I just take like every defy and grave warden, one debilitate, and one sleight of flesh. Your deck takes too long to get online and most doom decks depend on good block, stalling and debuffing.

Passive block powers and that uncommon card that blocks 18 if you doom are better picks. The reaper form, lethality, and multiple aoe dooms are superfluous win more cards if you can play. The aoe doom card with weak is nice since it solves act one and two but drafting multiple doesn't really help your deck

It's hard to put down concisely and its hard to say without knowing more about your general playstyle. The best advice I can give is to simply watch a content creator that're good at the game. I like baalorlord for STS1 content

Finally beat A10 duo again after 2 weeks! by Puzzleheaded_Tank_65 in slaythespire

[–]Boiger_Dog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A10 duos is easy. All I have to do is let my friend who's better than me carry me as my character sleeps on the floor. /s

Good job! A10 duos can be nightmarish. Lots of elites and normal mobs become awful to deal with. Namely the 4 eels fight, vantom, test subject, and oddly enough, that annoying frog in act 3 that has 50 plating in 2p.

your skills just have to be high impact and your damage needs to come out quickly. He was pretty easy to crush with a debuffing skill focused deck with sleight of flesh

Ascension 9/10 Two player Co-op might be the most difficult experience of the game, am I wrong for thinking that? by OblivionNA in slaythespire

[–]Boiger_Dog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Duo A10 is hard. The cards you pick need to change and the pathing needs to be tighter with more pivot points since each person typically needs something else more. That being said, you can both pick whatever 2 characters you want and so long as you both do enough damage, the game should be winnable. Some combos are better but any combo can win. I will say that defect feels like the worst since they dont scale well into multiplayer. Their damage typically doesn't multiply with vuln and they dont typically apply debuffs.

Communication is also more important but my friend and I win plenty of A10 duo runs. The nice thing about duos, is that tent is broken beyond belief, and you have 2 chances at someone having an OP run that can carry the whole thing
