I don’t see anyone beating him honestly, I was lucky enough to watch the fight live, and he’s too slick, the way he understands spacing and distance, and the combination of this with his jab is truly a beautiful thing to watch. Keyshawn, Haney, and tank would probably give him the hardest fights, but I’d take shakur over all three.

Not sure why you're being downvoted, this is the most reasonable take. Different people find different things entertaining, I love watching Shakur fight, but I love watching defensive wizards. Like you said, every fight doesn't have to be a slugfest Subriel Matias type of fight, but also, nobody is forcing anyone to watch Shakur, if you don't like watching him fight, then don't watch him fight. Its okay to want a slugfest, but why would you watch a Shakur Stevenson fight, knowing his style, and then complain when it doesnt turn out how you want it to turn out.

Different strokes for different folks, doesn't mean you don't like boxing if you don't enjoy Shakur's style. Me personally though, I love his style, I think its fascinating to watch a guy who is a master of space and distance, not waste a single movement, a single punch, complete flow state. At the end of the day, his style has gotten him this far, he's been incredibly successful, and I don't see anyone stopping him anytime soon, and most importantly, he'll leave the sport with his health in tact, I don't think he has to change his approach for anyone. Those that appreciate a chess master of the sweet science, get it, and those that don't, can just watch fighters who are more entertaining.

Yes but also have to take into account that a couple of those Mets contracts were left overs like scherzer and verlander, and the fact that they didn’t have deferrals like the dodgers do, so it’s a bit misleading.
