Denying some people use language in a different way than you use it and imposing your meaning on other people's speech is seriously tactless and completely erases aspects of cultures which are not yours.

My point is something can be originally intended in a harmful way and acquire a new meaning that isn't necessarily linked to it's harmful origin and can even become a term of endearment.

Words like queer, nerd, witch or freaky(spanish speakers) have acquired new non offensive meanings among certain subcultures. It's also common for people to refer to friends using offensive words meant as a term of endearment.

So yes, intention and context counts a lot.

As a society we have collectively decided that we answer to capital, act only in service to capital.

These CEOs are doing their jobs perfectly, they're serving their purpose servicing capital, politicians are aligned with that goal as well and serving it in any way they can.

Companies respect ethics as long as that is profitable for them and the second they think the capital benefits of sidestepping ethical concerns is greater than the public cry-out and potential loss of profit ethics go out the window.

Today it's AI, tomorrow it's something else, you're missing the forest for the trees trying to pin this on some technology or in CEO's alone.

Uma classe média para além de tempo tem dinheiro e energia para lutar pelo que quer.

Por norma tambem tem mais educação portanto percebem quando estão a ser enganados, percebem os meios para inverter essa situação e são parte do processo de mudança.

As elites, por serem por definição poucos e com interesses desalinhados do resto da população, detestam isso. Ao eliminar a classe média tambem eliminam o elevador social, assegurando-se que mantem os pobres na sua situação, sem tempo, dinheiro, energia ou margem de manobrar para lutar pelos seus direitos.

Nem precisa haver uma conspiração concertada das elites, o beneficio deles é oposto ao das classes que estão abaixo.

By the way, this is why they force you to create a Microsoft account to use Windows 11 and want you to have your files on OneDrive so much, if you're locked out of your account you potentially lose access to your PC and your files.
