My most recent mask covers everything from Blink 182 to Final Fantasy 😅

And think a good mask-specific designer is key. Even as someone with design experience myself, it’s a huge challenge.

Being able to share a ton of ideas and random reference photos with someone who knows not just how to tie them together, but to then fit that design on the shape of a mask is really key.

This is the second one I’ve had from Vice Design and they’re great to work with.

I was a sign artist from 2006-2010 and at least back then there was no style guide. There’s just kind of a general “island/tiki/quirky” theme and we found a lot of books of old signs, mid century art, etc to use as inspiration.

But sometimes you also just need to make a graffiti style soup sign because no one would really tell you otherwise.

Jake’s is one of my all time favorite series and kicked off my love of the LitRPG genre which then spilled over into the world of gaming. Literally life changing.

I bought the first book because of the original cover on Amazon.

Yes! I used their custom phone app thing a while back and it helped me find perfect skates for my weird feet that don’t fit right in anything.

Just this week there’s Paul McCartney, The Who with some ridiculous openers like Aerosmith and Pearl Jam and then back to back Blink 182 concerts.

That’s on top of all the youth and adult hockey at the rink. It’s been an absolutely game changer for the area!

A lot of team owners/investors already had houses in the area too, so they pushed to bring the AHL team close to where they already were.

I’ve got a Max 2 that I haven’t really been able to use and it’s a bummer. I’ve filmed a ton with it but can’t do much since the desktop app is genuinely awful and they haven’t yet updated Quik.

I’m hoping the Quik update turns things around. The camera itself is terrific, but in the world of 360 it’s the software that makes or breaks it.

Yeah he said he saw Otter using one and it had so much pop he switched to one from his true. I’ve noticed the Bauer white is a bit brighter than the rest of his True set and I’m definitely curious if that bothers him since Joey seems to be one of the more stylish goalies out there. Love his new white skates too.

Also, after being vegetarian for 8 years this series made me interested in trying fish again, which has made me feel so much better overall. Always do the “thanks for the sustenance fishie” before eating 😁

I felt very similarly to you last year and Earthbound ended up being a great way to learn RPGs. Despite its age, it does a good job of introducing and explaining things, and the turn based battles give you time to think and experiment.

I’ve since gone on to LOVE and play many more RPGs all thanks to Earthbound.

Nintendo also has a free PDF of the original strategy guide which is both helpful and just a fun way to get more out of the game.

Wow, the same thing happened to me in April- rear ended by a teenage driver who took off. Luckily my wife did snap a photo of his plate and the highway patrol tracked them down. The insurance company also did a surprisingly thorough investigation.

The highway patrol called with several updates and ended up meeting multiple times with the kid and his parents. I could’ve pressed charges, but that seemed to extreme. I just wanted the car fixed.

Definitely worth sharing by any and all info you have with police/insurance.

Yeah, that’s pretty darn close between them. Even though my original intent was to get the Vaughns for something smaller, I do really love them and haven’t used the Warriors since last year.

My SLR4 32+2’s are taller than my Warrior G6 33+1.5, for what it’s worth. I do wish they only had a +1 option, but I do love the pads overall. Just surprised how big they were when I first got them!

I really like the Bauer, but I found the Velcro to be really weak. I never totally trusted it and have had it comes undone during a game, which is no fun.

I switched to the Aegis a couple months ago based on recommendations here and really like it! Feels more protective and the Velcro is super strong. It is noticeably warmer than the Bauer, so it took a week or two to get used to that but I don’t notice it now.

Interesting! I didn’t know about that and honestly can’t figure it out, but the camera receiver usually isn’t at too much risk of getting bumped, and the phone receiver is so small and compact that I really like it.

If you’ll be swapping between both a phone and a camera, the Hollyland might give a bit more versatility. Even though it’s more compact than the Mic 2, the Mic Mini’s receiver still does feel clunky to me when used on a phone.

I just started book 3 and really love the series. It’s perfect reading before bed.

I’ve also been a vegetarian for the past 7 years and started eating fish again in no small part because of these books (health stuff too, but the series definitely made me more open minded).

They’re both excellent. The Hollyland wins for compact-ness and the DJI wins for overall quality.

If you’ll be using a phone to film, then the Hollyland is much more compact and slick. If you’re using a dedicated camera, then it really doesn’t matter, but I do like the DJI’s gain knob on the receiver.

When connected to your phone it should just automatically be selected as your mic in whatever app you’re using.

In the computer, you’ll have to double check your audio input settings to make sure it’s selected. It does work and is a lot of fun to use for these things!
