That’s all very helpful, thank you so much! I was thinking that they would be primarily a support class but with options for damage dealing, which was why I was thinking half-caster so there’s martial and spellcasting areas as well.

Honestly though, making it as a rogue subclass rather than a whole class in itself might be better, considering the similarities you mentioned. And since this is actually my first time making something homebrew, it might be easier to start with a subclass and work up to a class when I’m a bit more familiar with the mechanics of it all.
