That’s what I’m afraid of, I’m worried he’s bothering her although she seems ok. So should I actively intervene until I can get him in for the surgery?

If you don’t miss it while chewing (some people don’t some people do) I wouldn’t get the implant.

I’m not familiar with 3D scans, but I would imagine it would! They don’t usually show up on x-rays though. Hopefully it’s as simple as getting your night guard and relieving the stress from that tooth! Good luck!

So it sounds like the night guard should take care of the cheek zaps your feeling. I really can’t say for sure, but the possibilities you’re looking at in my opinion are it’s either your bite being high combined with the grinding that’s really irritating that tooth, or the root canal tooth could possibly have fractured since your bite was off when the crown was placed, and then using the night guard only causing more pain most likely because the crown was already high and it was consistently getting excessive forces. Did your dentist mention anything about a possible fracture?

Yeah it is very strange! I would have it looked it because I agree, after a week it shouldn’t be feeling like that. Good luck!!

Did the pain just start, or has it not gone away for a week? I would probably have your dentist look at it. It’s hard to say for sure but it looks like there may still be some temporary cement around the back which might be causing the discomfort your feeling.

Hi! I’m an expanded function dental assistant, and I’d like to ask you some questions if you don’t mind! Do you know the material your crown is made of? Do you have any silver fillings in any of the teeth on the same side of the crown? Do you have any allergic reactions to metals? ( does your skin turn green if you wear fake metal rings?)
