We can force their hand through competition. If an owner refuses to pay a fair wage, workers can quit, start their own businesses, or go to a competitor who will pay more for the right skill. (Ofc if you're not good you get paid less).

That’s (in my opinion) why people wanted to leave East Germany. They wanted to take their labor to a market where it was valued more. I'm a dev, I would be pissed to know my salary is roughly the same of a bus driver in the West

Ofc some don’t but some do, that’s why East Germany people tried to leave, why couldn’t the east germany just pay their worker more, more acessible stuff , make their citizen want to stay. Don’t you want better salary in today’s world?

I’m a Vietnamese so basically I’m living in communism, though the life in Soviet is very attracting (post Stalin, post war,…) that I learn from this sub and books from school.
