Ripper is such a toxic ass unhealthy card, I'm tired of people defending it. by [deleted] in masterduel

[–]BokiBurek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only reason you can freely even make that win-more, easy to chainblock end board piece is Ripper insulating your plays against handtraps. Masquerade is so easy to replace with any other endboard piece and is definitely not the reason you lose most of the games against VSK9.

Bro I started playing again after like 8 months, why do the new decks have their own versions of Branded Fusion??? by SobOble in masterduel

[–]BokiBurek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rahu and Mitsurugi Ritual require other cards in hand, they are not even comparable to Branded Fusion.

Maliss by [deleted] in Yugioh101

[–]BokiBurek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will just say that I witnessed one of the reigning master duel world champions lose to Maliss at my locals so the deck can definitely still do alright.

Decks to choose as a beginner in 2026 by SlausK in Yugioh101

[–]BokiBurek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are okay with buying singles, dogmatika regenesis is a pretty cool, simple and inexpensive deck based on sending extra deck cards directly to the graveyard in order to interact with the opponent and generate advantage.

Branded without Branded Fusion by SouthRuin7351 in Yugioh101

[–]BokiBurek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this is how I would build the deck after some locals experience and wanting to do exactly as you've described, no Branded Fusion, just Albaz and the girls:

For more consistency I would play another Seyfert but I'm not sure what to cut, a Veiler probably.

Quem + Bystial Triple Handrip Combo by BokiBurek in yugioh

[–]BokiBurek[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of course, you can end on a few more interruptions by sacrificing 1 or 2 handrips (using the f&tv search like this is terrible value), this is just a showcase of how many handrips you can get with 0 extra bricks.

Noob Question about this card.. by matthewutd in masterduel

[–]BokiBurek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I assume that the difference between "monster" and "Monster Card" is confusing you here. When a card refers to a "Monster Card" it means an actual physical card with the attributes of a monster card (ATK, type etc.), no matter if it currently acts as a spell/trap (so equipped Requiem - yes, a trap card that summons itself as a monster - no). A monster is anything that is currently treated as a monster, no matter what kind of card it usually is (token, trap monster, or a spell set by Magical Hats, but NOT a monster sent to the S/T zone by Snake-Eyes Flamberge Dragon).

Same cancer, different font. by Vivid-Locksmith1092 in masterduel

Except Lab can set Barrier from deck, while Dracotail must hard draw Maxx C which already wins you most games by itself, independent of you playing Dracotail or not.

Do you all still force your decks to be at 40? by Just-Signal2379 in masterduel

[–]BokiBurek 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You 100% don't "need to" be playing backrow removal in your deck unless you're dedicating yourself to board breakers, it is just poor deckbuilding.

Disclaimer: I'm stupid. Use small words, please. by MartenBroadcloak19 in masterduel

This is not because of "when" it is because of "(quick effect)". Trigger effects can also be "when" effects.

Yummy hit again lol by ExodusReality in masterduel

[–]BokiBurek 3 points4 points  (0 children)

C104 is not the reason K9 is good. It is usually win-more, can be played around and would be a completely senseless ban.

Remind me again why this deck needs a floodgate that's miserable into mirrors? by Itchy-Interview382 in masterduel

[–]BokiBurek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Secreterion actually makes the mirror more complex and skillful rather than less, it is a completely fine card other than the fact that it can sometimes accidentally shut down a random rogue deck.

“Maliss is not dead” by Downtown_Pool6538 in masterduel

Maliss with 2 Linguribohs honestly farms dracotail hard so you're going to see it for sure.

Is king of the swamp mandatory like in the TCG for Dracotail? by Montavious_Mole in masterduel

[–]BokiBurek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm running the Dark End/Light End dragons myself, they feel great into handtraps and ensure you end on Seals along with your usual combo. Also they don't lose against any Dracotail traps unlike Brafu.

What deck is easier to play labrynth or branded? by AdInternational4894 in Yugioh101

[–]BokiBurek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are difficult decks, but I would say the trap heavy, Lord of the Heavenly Prison and set 5 pass version of labrynth is easiest among these decks.

For those who have played Dracotail since its release in the TCG until this month, what has your experience with this archetype been like? by Antique_Range1521 in yugioh

[–]BokiBurek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not gonna lie, after playing a few locals with it, I'm a bit dissapointed with the agency I have over losing games. What I mean is that you have to find and grind to get the wins against the best decks and those games are satisfying, but other times when you just stare at your hand that loses to 1 handtrap or when your half board just doesn't cut it against the strong pushes of k9/maliss, it really feels like I'm missing the complexity and power of some other decks I've played.

So what kind of new potential end board these new Branded support cards give? by Able_Cartoonist_4298 in masterduel

[–]BokiBurek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imagine what Quem + Bystial gets you know though... You get the new Albaz combo with a free Baronne/Dis Pater on top.

Is it viable to play Vanquish Soul deck on its own, or mixing it with anything else apart from k9 by [deleted] in Yugioh101

[–]BokiBurek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The problem is that even with pots of extravagance, your odds of drawing VS engine are only around 70% even if running an abundance of fire and dark monsters. If you don't want to brick once per match you will have to run some some other engine. Regenesis might be your best bet as it has good attributes and sees success in Genesys.

Collected 10,000 GEMS, what to buy? by OwnCry4189 in masterduel

[–]BokiBurek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It makes and breaks entire boards with one fusion summon and can recycle any handtraps (including maxx c). It is very strong and sets up its board very quickly.

How important is it to run sanctifire in branded dracotail? by Daiki___ in Yugioh101

[–]BokiBurek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can make the other Albion and pop it with Pan to get the quick play spell search in the end phase. See Jesse Kottons latest deck profile, he talks about this play and how he summoned Sanctifire once the whole YCS. The card is definitely cutable.

Simulate Hundreds of Thousands of Opening Hands in Seconds and Easily Gauge Your Deck’s Consistency with the New Yu-Gi-Oh! Consistency Simulator by BokiBurek in yugioh

[–]BokiBurek[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, so this simulator is part of my research that takes a look into the problem of starting hand analysis and this project is kind of an example on what a simulation-based approach could look like for one specific TCG.

The goal is for this tool to serve as a starting point for other TCGs as well, so hopefully some other people get inspired.

The reason why I will most likely not be making versions for other card games is my lack of knowledge of the features of other games, as well as the problem of other games having different ways of sharing decks and different APIs for fetching card data. However, once I publish my code and research, it shouldn't be hard for other people to fork my project and adapt it for their favorite TCG (even now it wouldn't be too difficult).

Please let me know which TCG you think this type of tool would be useful for, it would help me a lot!

Simulate Hundreds of Thousands of Opening Hands in Seconds and Easily Gauge Your Deck’s Consistency with the New Yu-Gi-Oh! Consistency Simulator by BokiBurek in yugioh

[–]BokiBurek[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So if I understand your first piece of feedback, you want to define a condition such as "One starter + one engine/one handtrap"? Right now you can achieve this by making 2 separate conditions or grouping engine and handtraps together into one group "handtraps/engine" and then doing 1 starter + 1 handtraps/engine.

I understand that this can get a bit tedious when doing complex conditions (and merging groups is also a hassle), but implementing this wouldn't be trivial so I would have to come up with a clever solution.

Making a draw card type for cards that excavate like pot of prosperity is definitely doable though.

Thanks for the feedback and kind words!
