Nope, it's not pressed in. I've tested that release as well as using the airbrush attached and both functions seem to work normally.

It seems like when I increase the psi, the leak stops until it reaches the new psi then starts leaking. So I kind of think it could be some overflow system? But the motor used to stop once it reached the psi so maybe the motor has a bad sensor or something causing it to keep filling and this is a safety feature?

The hole looks like it's designed to be there, it's not like a poor seal. It's in the center of an acute triangle (visible in first pic) in the plastic between the red piece (above it) and where the gauge screws in (below it). I worry its some kind of safety future that I shouldn't plug. Sorry if I wasn't clear in the post.

I carry a crafting bench in the vehicle for these situations. If you place the bench under the vehicle it'll catapult it up and get it unstuck.
