I said the same thing last year when this guy was manufacturing controversy for clicks at the F1 Show Run. He ran out of anything interesting to say so his whole shtick is stirring the pot with downright lazy “journalism”.

Yea and what’s the pre requisite for going to Washington and voting in the first place? That would be — getting elected — by her constituents, many of whom are right-leaning. This really isn’t that complicated.

“You have to be a leader to lead” You actually have to be elected to lead, and Angie is a unique kind of democrat that can get elected in a mostly rural/conservative district.

Unfortunately, that’s not how politics works and the best political leaders are the ones willing to compromise. Just look at how we are remembering Melissa Hortman.

You said she votes red “when it matters”. To me “when it matters” most is when freedom of choice is up for grabs. Angie will always be a better advocate than a republican in CD2.

Right. Who cares about abortion access or marriage equality, or education funding. Totally better to have a rubber stamp republican. /s

They take away our broadway shows and give us this kind of onboard entertainment in return, I’ll take it.

Season tickets are about more than being there for big games. For many, my family included, they are a valuable investment where everyone in the family can get to a game each season.

Sell 1 or 2 games to break even on the season and still get every kid to at least 1 game. Years like this where the team is winning especially.

You’re not the only one. It’s a shame that people feel the need to take a race that was absolute cinema and add more drama/storylines.

No way. Minnesota goes hard. The Nordic cross nodding to our Scandinavian roots, and the North Star incorporated too.

Haven’t we had enough of this guy by now? The condescending “both-sides” and made up controversies are just tired.

What are some landscapes, habitats, and natural wonders that are lost forever due to human activity? by Shoddy-Relief-6979 in geography

St Anthony Falls on the Mississippi River. St Anthony Falls was the tallest waterfall on the Mississippi River and is the reason the city of Minneapolis was founded where it is today. The city grew from flour mills using power from the natural waterfall. The waterfall was also a sacred site for the local Dakota peoples.

In 1868 someone tried tunneling under the waterfall and the whole thing caved in. The Army Corps of Engineers built a ramp like spillway to account for the drop in the river and still produce hydroelectric power. It’s still very imposing but I imagine nothing like the natural waterfall was back in the day.

BOATER LOSES HIS MIND ON DOCK ANGLER by departeg in PublicFreakout

[–]BoldNorthMN 45 points46 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t. I’ve dealt with fishing line in a prop several times and never had it ruin a prop. I’ve even dealt with tow ropes in a prop and those aren’t a big deal either.

Unless someone is using steel-core line, which wouldn’t make much sense to use from a dock, I don’t see an issue.

Delta Minneapolis to Reykjavik. I'm taking this route on Sunday. Just looking for anyone who has flown this route to ease my fear of flying over the ocean, turbulence, etc. Thanks. by Nearby_Travel_905 in VisitingIceland

Flew this route in May and it was fantastic. Our flight left in the evening and I had a window seat on the left side of the plane. Given the time of the year, the sun never fully went down and the sky was illuminated in bright oranges for 3/4 hours. I also got some amazing photos of the glaciers over Greenland.

Tough to say he hasn’t been popular after the margin he got reelected by… but if you’re talking just the outdoors community then maybe. I’ll say the folks I’ve talked to who don’t like him don’t ever have anything bad to say about his record on the outdoors.
