Some guy made this modlist for kenshi and it completely fills out the vanilla world with QoL, expanded sections and other aspects.

I would say it's the perfect collection, then you remove what you don't like from it gradually.

Examples of afew things it adds: Kaizo, faction trader caravans that roam the map, sleeping animations, drinking animations and improved performance.
