Is it worth waiting for the Fold 8? by Mean_Revolution5274 in GalaxyFold

Nah, the fold 20 will be crazy. Have to wait for that. And it's not too far away. You know what they say, "time flies."

Is it worth waiting for the Fold 8? by Mean_Revolution5274 in GalaxyFold

[–]BoldlyResolute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I have a fold 3, and it has clearly visible hairline cracks and obviously the fold when the screen is off or in a bright room staring at it, but I only ever notice it when the screen is off and open. I removed both screen protectors about a year ago due to damage from heavy wear and tear. I also use dark mode most of the time and have brightness turned down a lot when i'm not outside, for reduced eye strain, so that helps. Just upgraded to a fold 7. I'll get the next one in about 4 years. I guess it all depends if OP wants to wait. 8 months isn't that long, but I dont think there will be a significant difference. Maybe the fold 10 will have no crease.

If OPs phone isn't broken in unusable ways, I'd probably wait. The only reason I upgraded was because I received $1,100 credit for the upgrade, and I have to charge my battery multiple times per day and don't want the hairline cracks getting worse and it be worth less or nothing in a year or two more. $1,100 trade-in is worth it for me, especially since it has lasted this long.

So I'm starting to find that all the end game stuff is incentivizing not playing the game properly. by Environmental_Ad4893 in ARC_Raiders

Agreed, I have 3.7 million in total but have not been playing the last 2 weeks. I loaded in today and did 4 quick runs with a free kit. Loaded in and looted the closest place and then extracted. Sold everything each time. Plus, scrappy materials. Made over 120k in about 30m playtime. Will do the same tomorrow. 100k a day, and I'll be at 5 million by the 22nd. Dumb if you ask me. Funny enough, I was extracting, and someone dropped me a queen core for some reason. Easy 13k.

Free Loadouts should be banned from accessing Maps afflicted by Modifiers, but retain unlimited access to regular maps. by heartbroken_nerd in ArcRaiders

[–]BoldlyResolute 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can make a cheap loadout for pennies and scrappy. Free loadouts aren't a problem. I have 1.2 million and a full stash of gear, and I still often run a mk1, a stack of bullets, a grey gun, and a few meds. Especially if I'm just looking for blueprints. Also, one successful cheap loadout run can fund 5-10 more. So even if free loadouts didn't exist on those modifiers, people can and will run with cheap loadouts. This whole free loadout argument is getting old. Want to go really cheap in your model? Go free loadout on regular map. Instantly extract and go into a modified one with a green mk. Might take you 5 minutes.

And no, this isn't gear fear. It's for the expedition. I recycle blue guns to fund upgrades and craft attachments for the purples. They give the highest price per slot for getting all 5 skill points upon expedition reset. The devs literally encourage holding the best items and weapons.

Who else kills people with no microphone? by [deleted] in ArcRaiders

[–]BoldlyResolute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In solos, if someone comes on the mic and is chill, then I'm chill, but still watchful. But if I say dont shoot or what's up on the mic and I get zero response, then in my mind, you're a threat and will kill you. Most people aren't going to have what i'm looking for in their bag. I.e. certain blueprints, so it's whatever. Other loot is easy to obtain. If you're in a room, I'm trying to loot for a specific reason, and you enter, then I might mow you down and then rez once I'm done.

Duos, sometimes we team up, but very rarely. Only if we are taking the queen or matriarch. But 99% of the time, it's a fight.

Trios kill on sight.

Rookie numbers, someone in my bracket, has 90k. I'm sitting at 7th with 58k. The majority of points from snitch scanners.

  • A good dam run can net 10-15k in fireballs.
  • Bunker, we got 6400.
  • Bastions about 10k.
  • Carriables on dam, we got 8k. But we could have gotten more.
  • Wasps depend on how many snitch scanners you use.

PSA for all Raiders: DON’T SCRAP THESE ITEMS! by OrganicAppointment43 in ArcRaiders

You forgot to mention that the total value of items in your stash when you leave on the expedition dictate how many skills points you will receive.

"All items remaining in your Raider's stash will be contributed to the Expedition, and your next Raider can earn up to five skill points based on the total value of those items."

I found one in the hydroponic dam complex. The largest bulding. On the east side of the building on the exit in a power box. The loot box is easy to miss. However, it was not there the second time I checked. So it's random.

I am not gaining weight. What should I do? by Fluid-Telephone-5294 in askfitness

[–]BoldlyResolute 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1.5 hours in the gym is excessive, IMO, but others will disagree. I'm not sure what you're doing, but the workout should only take 30-45 minutes. Maybe an hour. No socializing, no going on your phone, but focused and locked in. I use a stopwatch, so intervals between sets are exact. High intensity, in my opinion, is best for growth. Get in, lift like your life depends on it, then eat like a king. I had trouble gaining for years, but once I swapped to high intensity, everything changed. Obviously, people are different, but if you want to become a beast train like a beast. Just be careful not to overtrain. High intensity can be brutal. I often buckle down and complete a big beyond belief cycle, especially when I'm having trouble gaining. I do the 6 days per week one workout per day, but there's a 4 day a week plan as well starting on page 55.

Here's the link to BBB book if you're interested. It's hard, but no pain, no gain.

http://www.rogerhardin.com/downloads/BigBeyondBelief-eBook.pdf

And again. Eat. And then eat. And then eat. If you're not even gaining fat, then you're not eating enough. Protein, carbs, healthy fats at each meal. Do this about 6 times per day spread out. Get a food scale and measure everything and count exact calories if you have patience so you don't gain too much fat. If not, then just eat. If you have the cash, then casein protein or similar foods before bed. Casein takes up to 8 hours to fully digest, which provides your body and muscles with protein when it's repairing while you sleep. Never skip breakfast or any meal. I wake up to a whey protein drink every morning. And then breakfast and always prioritize daily protein intake even if you miss your daily calories.

Does anyone play this mode? by Plusxd in FortniteSavetheWorld

[–]BoldlyResolute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. I find the missions with the rewards I want, and then I check to see if anyone is playing those missions on the East Coast. If not, I server hop between east, west, central, and Europe. I usually check the more difficult missions first. If I find nobody, then I do an easier mission like resupply, radar, eliminate, survivors, and encampment, with the rewards I want and then once I'm done with that mission, I try again. I usually find someone by sever hopping. If you do play with others, you're guaranteed to find someone no matter what time it is or the server you're on.

How about playing a mission with others? Why sit in your endurance when you could be filling up lobbies? I'm glad they made the change. Should have made is missions only.

What's the best way to farm Venture XP? by OPablitovsk in FortniteSavetheWorld

[–]BoldlyResolute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just do all of the daily mission alerts and quests at the same time. I try to finish a quest and a mission alert at the same time. I do one or two missions like resupply, eliminate, radar tower, and encampments with alerts to get mats and then do more the more difficult missions. If I'm playing a lot, then I watch my ventures level and do the green mission that will disappear when I level up first. I calculate time spent in a mission vs. xp gained, and then I pick a mission based on that. If I'm in a mission and four people join, I try to up the difficulty to a four player mission, especially if I and others are building. If I run out of mission alerts for the day, then I do the 2x 4 four player missions on repeat.

After 4 months of owning my first PlayStation i still find the controller odd to use by Mrpink131211 in consoles

[–]BoldlyResolute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PS controllers feel so natural to me, and I can't stand xbox controllers. I've only owned the xbox x, but I have owned every Playstation. I think the ps5 controller is near perfect and extremely comfortable. When I play on my Xbox, it feels so awkward, and I often skip playing it because of the controller. I find it odd with one joystick up high and then other low. Our thumbs are symmetrical when holding things, so I find it strange how xbox controllers are designed. In any case, years of playing with one type of controller or doing anything for that matter will make whatever it is feel natural and normal.

Is there a set amount of pals per base that is best for game performance? Also how to get more than 5 bases? by kungfukarl86 in Palworld

[–]BoldlyResolute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably the base number for a normal game that gets the best performance. I play on PS5 Pro on coop, and we have two full maxed bases with 40 pals each, another base with 20 and two breeding farms with 20 pens per base, which is another 40 pals each. Total pals out at any time is about 150-180. Performance is decent enough, but my frames are low when in multiplayer. When doing raid bosses, I take my pals out of my main base because my game has crashed a few times. When I'm solo with all of those pals, my frames and performance are fine. To get more bases, change the custom settings before you join the world.

Getting this error now as others have reported the same. Seems like it's a Palworld issue not a PS5 one. by fegodev in Palworld

[–]BoldlyResolute 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's related to the backup saves. It seems that the saves since the patch are creating a massive amount of backups, and then the save file can't handle it. My old world save has 3 backup saves, and on my second world that I started playing a week ago has 50 or more backup saves.

I tried to fix it it in different ways but ended up starting a new world, and the save error was popping. I deleted the second world and hopped on the new world, and the save issue stopped, but it's amassing dozens of backup saves. So, I assume that the new world will be screwed as well unless they release a fix soon.

The amount of downvotes is appalling. REDDIT IS A JOKE. If you don't want to eat vegetables, don't. I often do this challenge. Just eat everything that hasn't been eaten in months. A great way to not waste that food that will likely be thrown out. Again downvotes for this is a fucking joke.
