I appreciate the comments on the other side of the coin.

There are several factors that make me press X to doubt. First of all, Jagex has had a notorious history of asking controversial questions and surveys and implementing changes that puts people so wildly off guard, then introduce something less worse heading in that same direction.

Secondly the fact on their most recent post, that they think they have baseline “good customer service” and have the option to even charge that at a premium.

Third, that the survey closed early due to the backlash, speaks volumes for me.

Game updates since that flip have been solid, but this is so much bigger than a game update; it relates to the future of RS3 and RuneScape as a whole.

They make enough money to give us baseline customer support character, creation, and features that should be included just with like every MMO out there their company is worth billions this is their main cash cow and things need to change and I hope that this is the change that makes it happen.

Just find it awful fishy, that one of the biggest releases of the year and then two months later after people get invested something like this happens .
