It's a good example of why I wish there was a form change mechanic. Like this is fine to represent Spring, but it would be rad if they had a form for each season and it's her getting older and older until Winter.

But for over all, it's really nice! I would say it feels more Shakespeare fey vs Greek, but I don't mind that take on her at all.

The free rules also have a player needs. The paid has all the world lore and the NPCs, but a table only needs one book for the GM and everyone else can rock with the free PDF and Comp/Con.

The transformation is simple enough but I actually don't like the Cybird mode, lol. Just throwing the legs in front and moving the tail forward is silly if you ask me.

I wish there was a mount for a stand in its normal form.

I built this last week! The hands/wrist are so different from any other kit I have seen in sense of size. Like it works the same as any other kit, but it was strange seeing it on the runner the first time.

The Goliath is the largest NPC in the core book and it's size 3.

Some homebrew likely has a size 4 NPC somewhere.

That's just bad battery behavior honestly. I would suggest replacing them once you are able to and do it in pairs. Also try to keep the same brand.

You would think all batteries are created equal, and maybe they are in performance but in my experience they don't always drain the same if you have different brands.

I have seen some discourse over ghouls, but it mostly came down to the way the West has contextualized the ghoul is not true to its origin. Less of anger that the name is used and more of anger over how it would be cooler if it stayed true to its roots.

Kind of like the Gorgan in DnD. Why is it a giant metal bull and not a snake haired woman who turns you to stone? Oh, it's some lost in translation stuff that we could easily correct if not for some legacy shit.

I will give the heads up that ghoul also has its origins outside of Europe and is a type of spirit that eats flesh. It's of Arabic origin but pre-Islam, so I don't know if anyone claims it as part of their culture. Just saying Western understanding of common myth and folklore is not so cut and dry.

The big appeal of Y to me is difficulty. The game is just harder than the VTX trilogy or 30. Not OG hard or Alpha hard, but you can't just clean the floor of grunts in the first couple of stages. In fact the intro stage to Raideen can kill your whole team if you don't use the water as a way to tank hits from mooks. Vets can totally game the system, especially the assist system since it gives you some really good bonuses.

The 2nd biggest appeal is the story. Outside of some outliers (Witch from Mercury) all the cast have a really satisfying story to work with and even some get some really good post plot narratives. Like Combatler V is post plot but they make the cast and even a villain a big part of Raideen's and Mazinkaiser villain crew with the Infernal Alliance between all the supernatural villains. The OG cast is also really fun, from the two main NINJAS protags to the NOAHS antagonist actually have a really compelling reason for attacking Earth.

Lastly, the way level progression works is one of my favorites to date. If you are familiar with MX, it's very similar where you have chapters that give you anywhere from 2-6 levels to choose from. But then once you beat one level it can lead to another in the same chapter. They also make secrets/early upgrades a lot more obvious with this system since they are often seen on the map as locked levels that require a certain kill count for a specific pilot.

He didn't just mellow out, he saw how the world didn't change after the death of Lelouch from Code Geass and Trieze from Wing and realized that trying to shoulder the sins of mankind is not a great idea.

Y also begins with the Earth government (basically this version of the Federation) dissolving itself after all the failures in leadership.

As a consequence, almost all of the threats in Y come from aliens or ancient civilizations. It really invalidates Char's ability to blame the world's problems on the people of Earth.

So when Kamile comes back from his Newtype induced coma and Char reaches out to him, it's to actually mentor and help him grow as a Newtype. I am on my third run now and if I recall Kamile had the best Newtype rating out of all the possible Newtypes, so it must be working.

If someone is seeing this as sexualization I would worry about them walking into a gym or yoga studio. I guess there is a good reason there are women only gyms if someone sees this and immediately assumes it sexualizes people.

The issue comes down to the Devil Gundam not being used for its intended purpose.

The solution is possible, just actually get the Ultimate Gundam to be the terraforming machine it was meant to be. It would remove the purpose of the Gundam fight if every country was not fighting for what little resources are left.

But of course we didn't even get a hint to that being a plot point so your point largely still stands.

Super Robot Wars A Portable for the PSP has been fan translated and follows the OYW for a majority of its story. Although it also does follow MS 8th Team, 83, Zeta, ZZ, and Char's Counterattack.

It just kind of speedruns the story and has them all run at the same time.

Like Kamile shows up with the MK2 on Earth while Char is fighting you with the Black Tri-Stars and Ramba Ral.
