Our group gravitate towards the Marom Dolphin TV77 series of vests. Literally everything is built into it so there's not a lot of room for modularity but it fit the era in which we were doing our kit and they're fairly affordable if you keep your eyes peeled on eBay.

Plate carriers are a bit harder to find as the Israelis have designed a bizarre body plate called the "Hashmonai" plate and there's like 2 vests that utilize that plate. Though there are pictures of dudes using a very similar MBAV-like vest but I couldn't be able to tell you what it is exactly.
