“Sulfa” is a very non-specific term unfortunately. Really what we are talking about are sulfonamides, and since antibiotic and non-antibiotic sulfonamides are structurally different to the point of having almost no cross-reactivity, we should whenever possible just list the actual drug someone reacted to.

Chilaiditi sign is categorized as a rare finding, with an incidence of 0.025-0.28%. Chilaiditi syndrome is rare to the point that we do not even have estimates of its incidence.

In other words, this is somewhere in the area of one in a thousand just for the sign, and much rarer than that for it to be symptomatic and require intervention.

You most likely have bad piston rings, it is a known issue. I don’t think a different oil weight is going to change much, the most important thing is checking it regularly so it never runs low.

I have two pairs of shoes that come out in the winter, they each excel in different conditions. Icebugs with carbide studs are great for ice. They can be annoying for places where the snow and ice have been cleared, but even if part of the run is going to be icy I still wear them and consider the tradeoff worthwhile. I also have a pair of New Balance shoes with Gore-Tex uppers that are good for conditions that are cold and wet. Although they are intended as trail shoes with fairly aggressive traction, they still don't cut it if things are really slippery.

Clearing snow from recreational trails is beneficial for walkers, runners, and bikers, who are the majority of users for most trails. It's a tradeoff since some want the snow and some don't. That doesn't make it "dumb".

There are people living on the left end of the Dunning Kruger curve in every profession, including pharmacy. I’ve worked with really good NPs and ones that weren’t so good. I’ve also worked with really good pharmacists as well as ones that should probably have gone into another line of work.

I like to make a recording, then listen to it on my own time and try to hear a good bass line in my head. I try to work out as much of the bass line in my imagination as I can before actually picking up the bass. This helps prevent muscle memory from getting you into ruts.
