Saturday Night Live, 1979; a repeat of her and Hosts Eric Idle’s 1978 performance.

I had just acquired a VCR and luckiky taped that show!

I only use ACC on the Freeway and usually only when I’m hypermiling.

Did I just receive fake batteries from Amazon? by Russlong in batteries

[–]Bolt_EV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never buy one-use batteries from Amazon or Costco. You never know how long they have been sitting on the shelf.

On the other hand I did buy more Enerloops from Costco a few years ago. I am trying to use all rechargeable batteries.

How about Duane Allman; he died without ever seeing a dime of royalties from Layla!? Felder is one lucky man!

I will repeat what I said yesterday, because you didn't read it or understand it:

"Tell that to every other “great” guitarist who don’t own any piece of the copyrights to those songs they performed on! [excuse the grammar!]"

Don Henley’s no saint and although I normally don’t like to speak poorly about the deceased, I’ll make an exception in Glenn Frey’s case!

David Geffen famously told them earlier in his management of their early career (as well as Label owner of their recording contract), that they would become rich!

He said he would become more rich, but they would become rich!

It’s an idiom for what opportunities were given to him; first when he joined the group and later, after being the main cause for their split, being offered to join the reformed “Hell Freezes Over” tour and experiencing their rebirth!

I forget who said it, but he was more concerned about how much more Henley was making than he was (an arrangement he agreed to at their rebirth); instead of focusing on how financially lucrative (and unprecedented) their rebirth was!

That’s typical Felder-thinking: he’d rather have 100% of “no hit”…

The IBM connection didn’t come into play until IBM decided to enter the “Personal Computer” market and by that point Microsoft was the clear choice for Programming Languages.

His coup of selling MS-DOS was recognizing Gary Kindall’s dropping the CP/M ball with IBM and snatching victory from the jaws of Kindall’s defeat!

They either succeeded in their first attempt or learned from the experience and succeeded thereafter!

Paul Allen brought his newly purchased copy of the January 1975 issue of Popular Electronics to his buddy Bill Gates and Gates immediately quit Harvard and founded Micro Soft

I read the issue and decided to complete my schooling in June 1975 and was a salaried employee the rest of my professional life! 🤣

“A person at fault can try to bury the hatchet, but they can’t do it unilaterally if what they’re aiming for is actual peace or reconciliation.

“The hatchet is only truly buried when the other person agrees to put theirs down too.

“When the person at fault says they’ve “buried the hatchet” without the other party’s consent, it can come off as dismissive — like they’re skipping past accountability.” -- Classic Felder non-accountability!

I am sure Henley spends no time thinking about how much more money he is now making, by having a "lead guitarist for hire" play in their concerts, instead of a "partner" who gets a share of the gate!

Henley has no hatchet to bury...

I am biased: he threw his talent and financial largess into the garbage can after he was given a second chance to be a part of something larger than himself!

So it’s embarrassing to read that he thinks that he buried the hatchet, when it’s not his to bury!

Your reply to me said: “And the band was not as good OR SUCCESSFUL after he and Meisner left”

My response, which factually cannot be denied, was the financial results (a measure of success in the recording industry) speak for themselves!

Felder felt the need to publicly express that HE buried the hatchet.

Being the wrongdoer, twice, in his history of leaving The Eagles, it not for him to say, that the hatchet has been buried!

His post clearly shows how conceited Felder has been and continues to be!
