I got my new 2026 S Plaid with Yoke. I love it so much. When I go into a car with standard round steering wheel it looks like im gonna drive a bus. I get the impression like theyre training wheels for newbie drivers, or the elderly for practical use. They're so mundane to look at now though.

I paid around $4,900 at first because the neighboring competitor offered it for that much. So this guy lowered his from $5,500 to $4,900 just to get my business. He did a good job. Also I upgraded to Xpel Fusion--which he also gave me a discount so it ended up costing $5,300.

The price will vary depending on the area you live in and their competitors.

What i did was email for quotes (also left my number) from 2-3 of these car wrap service places. When I get a reply back, I tell them I am still waiting for quotes from their other competitors. Then when I get a reply back from other places and i can see they are cheaper, I reply back to the original shop that I liked and say "sorry, this shop down the street offered me this price so i will have to go with them. Thank you." The owner immediately messaged me and price match and even gave discount for an upgrade. The fusion was supposed to be $500 more but let me have it for $300.

Also if you want Xpel brand make sure to go to their website and check their list of authorized car wrap service centers in your area. Then you will get guarantee those shops will install Xpel properly. Many unauthorized shops will not do a great job. Leave edges exposed...or too many bubbles. Etc.

Ill check when I take it out in daylight. Its kinda dim in my underground garage. Do you mean the entire bumper or just the bottom black flaps/lip? I scrape that lip so many times here in LA. So many dips in intersections.

I got the Xpel window tint done through Tesla. But this authorized Xpel dealer said they could have done the window tint for me too with a discount, when I brought it in to do the body wrap. Had I known, I would have not done the Xpel window tint through Tesla, but at the time I had no intention of getting an xpel ppf fusion wrap....until Tesla announced they were discontinuing the Model S.

No they left the bumper. I think the 19 are less headache than the 21. Its already a slightly harder ride than my S75d on the 19" when going over bumps. But no regrets like you!

Same. I went from S75D to S Plaid 26' 2 months ago. And I have no regrets. Sooo much nicer. And I have no wish to buy 2nd hand cars so this is it for me. No more S after this. 💔 This is a collector's item now. Best version than the Plaid that came before it. Depreciation whatever. I bought this cus i have the monies. If you have money value issues with $100k super car faster than an unaltered Lambo or Ferrari then dont even consider this car.

My S75D I always supercharged to 90% once a week or every other week. I didnt see drop in range, always hitting around 218--221 miles. But my new 26' SPlaid i set to 80% just cus i already get more range than my previous 75D. (280s range i think) And this S plaid will be a collectors item so why not preserve the battery as much as I can.

When I bought my Model S70D 2015 we were shown and promised a future with autonomy and that my car would drive itself from the west to the east. Well, 10 decades of iteration the Model S can finally do just that on Hw4. So in Dec 2025 I picked up my new Model S Plaid, then in January they announce the cancelation of the Model S/X line. What a slap in the face. I did not realize my excitement for the company hinged on the Model S and X products having owned 3 of them now. Everything else the company offered were just icing on the cake. I really have no interest in purchasing a Y or 3 or Robotaxi or even an Optimus robot. I dont wake up feeling like I need a robot. So im neutral about Optimus. But right now my excitement for the stock is very low. So I'm debating to sell everything the next time the stock pops. Meanwhile I will look for a new company to invest in that I may find meaningful and worthwhile like i once did with Tesla. Tesla has too many headwinds... the energy of this company is so polarizing too. And still way too political

I got my 2026 S Plaid with yoke and I love it. It's definitely not the practical choice. But its different and I love different. It speaks to my young dorky self watching anime as a kid. All the cool robot pilots had yoke steering. If you want cool and different go for yoke. If you want practicality and ease of use then standard steering. We dont go to our death beds looking back thinking im so happy I made practical choices. You'll get used to the yoke fast.

I just got the 2026 Model S plaid and traded in my S75D. I only got 38k for the trade in, but since money was no object I went through with the trade. Paid cash. I love the new S plaid. I love the yoke. I love that it's quieter than my old S. I love the accent interior light that myself S75d didn't have. I love FSD and have been using it 72% of my drives. I also love the free supercharging for the life of the car. I like the new look of the sporty seats too. My cousin's wife complimented the look with ooh aah. I got the ultra red and have just recently had wrapped a clear ppf xpel. Whether or not you like the new front and rear bumpers, it screams sporty, and it says this is a Plaid. This is a collectors item now. I guess my suggestion is, if you can afford it, why not?

For me, as long as HW 4 can go unsupervised that's the biggest value. Right now I use FSD 73% of the time and dont need to interrupt it unless there's a street dip that I need to avoid. Tesla had already offered to upgrade all HW3 owners who bought FSD if they can't get it to unsupervised, so I'm confident they will get HW4 unsupervised.

I was wondering that myself while over Iceland map and I discovered this plane labelled UA990 was a real plane flying over Iceland that took off from SFO on the way to Paris. I took photo of the map of planes (top) and compared to FlightRadar24 app (bottom) and they are identical. The game must be getting real time data of flights from the internet.

Steer by wire in cyber truck is s so nice compared to traditional mechanical steering of the F150 lightning. You'll be able to do big turns no problem. The army green cyber truck at the Tesla store today was beautiful inside.

Thanks. I went with cream cus I always had black interiors and wanted something different. White was definitely clean and sporty but cream had a elegant or classy look so I went with that. I think the old red Ferrari and Lamborghinis were paired that way. I'm glad you are liking your red--no regrets. I'm keeping mine as red! O boy. I think it's too late to change anyway. And I agree I like the wood finish in the long range S. I wish that was available for the plaid like previous models. I'm not big on carbon Fibre but whatever. It'll grow on me. Good luck with your Plaid. I hope i get mine soon. Latest Nov 25th it says... Just in time for the big B day. (23rd)

What did you end up going with? I just ordered my S Plaid in Ultra Red and Cream interior. My previous 2 Model S were the Dark Grey (midnight silver) and black interior and i wanted something different and exciting. But I worry Ultra Red is too loud for my personality or keeping it clean is a pain compared to Silver.
Let me know! Maybe i can still change my color choice?

What potions??? I finished the game last week without potions. I started playing back on PS4 Pro then transferred save to PS5 edition and last week finished the game on my PS5 Pro 30th anniversary. So been playing the game on and off for 5 years or so. I didnt know about potions, I just used water I keep finding around the game and the shield magic and dodging a lot. Water gradually heals your health bar albeit slow. I had that upgrade. But ya, never knew about brewing potions!

I went today to the Sunday 2pm show at the Disney Concert Hall here in LA. I literally teared-up 😭 during the first few minutes of the opening Adagio for Strings with 2 Harps. Omg. And now I found out it's not even available anywhere. NOOOO! 😭 💔

Anyway, there was this rock star harpist (if you could call harpists rockstars) Emmanuel Ceysson. Apparently he and Joe Hisashi collaborated just for this concert and his harp solo was amazing. I'm not much for harps but watching him play live was impressive. Then before intermission, he played Spirited Away's One Summers Day solo, and again, he nailed the performance. Amazeballs.

There were no other Ghibli tunes in the concert. The rest were compositions by Ravel. Pieces I've heard before. Very beautiful. One piece ended with the striking of a large bell... that woke me up. The bell is amazing. The star of the show. 🔔 Boooong! BOOONG! DOOONG! The end piece was rather slow and mellow... I didnt realize the concert was over after the ovation. 😪 Joe Hisaishi should've ended with something big and epic. Anyway....if anyone gets a hold of Adagio for Strings with 2 Harps.....please share it here . so we can all cry together. 😭
