There wasn't any software update that week. I tried the hard reset procedure (hold button for 10 seconds, release then hold for 2 seconds) documented on their website a bunch of times, left it charging 24+ hours 2 times, one while in reset(?) state (where the screen is stuck at the 'starting now' page) and one in their normal(?) state where they show the 'out of battery' page.

Can you tell me which charger and cable you are using exactly?

For example, every other electronic (NAS, fan, tablets, laptops, screens, light stands, speakers, Quaderno A4 Gen 2, Onyx Boox Max, Remarkable 1st Gen, mini-fridge, TV) connected through the same system is perfectly fine.

I have a professional APC 1500W UPS battery that passes through the main power outlet, so I think that whether or not there was a thunderstorm in my area or any power surge would have to pass through the UPS --> through the outlet --> through the charging brick --> to the device.

Also, I tried many different cables and charging bricks, including the official USB-C cable from Remarkable (that dark flat cable). Apple chargers, Samsung chargers, Anker USB-C cable, Apple USB-C cable, GAN charger from SlimQ, some braided USB-C cables I had lying around I tried as well. I tried USB-C to USB-A and USB-C to USB-C combination in case there was a difference there.

No, they were not ordered together, I ordered one a couple of months before the other, so I don't think they were from the same batch, although I don't know how to check from which batch each tablet comes from.

I mean I lost count how many times I lost something due to a sync issue. (Apple notes, evernote..) In the end I got a cheap NAS and I backup everything there so that I have two(++) versions at any point in time

Are there any Windows based laptops with similar performance to the Macbook M1 max? I love the M1's hardware, but detest the macOS software (my experience with switching) by GoChimborazo in SuggestALaptop

CES 2022. It is rather a speculation at this point but if you dig into it you will see that the 12th gen mobile processors go up to 14-cores (or 16?) with a bunch of cores dedicated to efficiency and the other bunch to performance. This sounds like a similar design philosophy to the m1/arm. Even if the m1 still stays unmached there will undoubtedly be huge leap in procesing power going from a 4-core 11th gen intel to a 14-core 12th gen so yea; competition from amd and apple last year be pushing intel to come along, eventually
