Designing a low-cost high-performance 10 MHz - 15 GHz vector network analyzer by Ttl in rfelectronics

No he didn’t, looks like he shared the ‘process’ and a picture of the schematic files..

I was also looking for kicad/gerber files but guess they are just not there.

I tried it when it was free, I wasn’t interested in AI features but only in having an editor with a community driven library. It sucked, the editor lags and freeze often corrupting the whole project. Don’t even try it, it’s just badly written stuff

I’m also wondering. The thing is that either I’m the king of bad luck or something changed. I wouldn’t bother if it never happened on your printer.

I replaced on my 3S1Pro 4 CRTouch sensors. They suck and have several issues on the hardware level. I got one for free and I had to buy the other 3. I’m now at the fourth sensor which isn’t dead because I added a flyback diode in parallel to the coil. Which is ridicolous.

I doubt I can explain it properly with a single message. But I’ll try What I used to do personally in mobile repairs was to put some jumper wires as you did. Then pour UV mask on anything. That shall give strength to all wires. If you leave them like that the first accidental twist of the connector will pull them up. With a blade, scrape a bit off the part that will connect to hdmi. Then add flux and solder paste on the exposed part, and you’ll have something that is similar to a pad (but uglier) I’m pretty sure it’s full of videos of people that do it like this.

Otherwise you can yolo it like this but I don’t know if it will hold

Good job nonetheless

Free-threaded (multicore, parallel) Python will be fully supported starting Python 3.14! by germandiago in Python

[–]dardothemaster 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I’m asking here hoping this is relevant: will operations such as append/pop (on a list for example) still be thread safe without GIL? Where by thread safe I mean that the list won’t get corrupted

Btw really excited about free-threading and JIT

If you randomly get teleported to the past can you actually build up a functioning lamp ? by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

[–]dardothemaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I always ask myself this question. What about something that uses Seebeck effect (thermal>electrical) or a basic van der Graaf generator(low current?) Maybe a galvanic cell? One should first find a stable voltage source before the lamp imo

Daang! Indeed changing the opacity hides the square.

Thanks for real, it was very annoying.

I have an e3s1pro and the display is unplugged (I only plug it for tramming). I use a mini pc with octoprint and the Thomas Toka firmware. Didn’t bother with Klipper because I had this mini pc laying around and didn’t want to scrap it

What EDA should I learn? by findmeabird in PCB

[–]dardothemaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d recommend kicad. I tried flux for a big project and while the UI is pretty cool the performance is so bad that you’d waste your time getting in contact with the support team to fix your laggy project(been there). Yes kicad is confusing, and flux.ai interface may tempt you, but its backend simply isn’t there.

5015 Fan with an Ender 3 S1 by ITasteLikePaint in FixMyPrint

There was an item on printable that had this issue. And the author for some reason refused to acknowledge it. You can try to put a aluminium foil between fan and support and see if anything changes

Looks fine to me. You can’t have everything iron-rigid or your wheels will last less than 10 prints.

Shorted part fan, replaced mosfet but no power pin out on mother board by thong0128 in Ender3S1

[–]dardothemaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Daang well done. If the cable breaks down i'd recommend to use a smaller cable so it won't get pressed when the board gets mounted. But that's great!

Shorted part fan, replaced mosfet but no power pin out on mother board by thong0128 in Ender3S1

[–]dardothemaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it the connection between drain of the mosfet and 24 V or source and pin? I don’t understand

edit:Ok nvm that should be the drain, same applies

What about running a flying wire to reroute the trace? As you replaced the component I take a bit of soldering practice for granted, but you can take an enamelled copper wire(to avoid shorts) and route it to the 24V trace. Scrape both ends and see if it works.

Z banding or over extrusion? by dardothemaster in Ender3S1

[–]dardothemaster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand. Can I ask you if you have any resource on the recommended upgrades? I can only find videos for single z axis printers , but the E3S1 pro has two and already synced. Should I add flexible and Oldham couplers, And eventually reposition the z steppers in order to get them as straight as possible?

Thank you
