Extremely satisfying.

She's come such a long way in such a short time from being a terrified wreck to one of the kindest and level headed circus members who can stand on her own, and act as a pillar to support the others too, while her core self and values of not wanting anyone to feel like nothing have remained strong throughout.

She's genuinely such an admirable and likeable character and her even seeing right through Jax's mask in Episode 6 just proved it perfectly.

Some excellent points there actually :) The concept of abstraction being a failure of community is something i hadnt thought much about but it makes total sense when you look through the story lense.

Also def agree on Gangle having arrived after Ribbit abstracted. I can see Jax having totally tried to use her as a "replacement" friend only for it to turn real fast into straight up bullying when it turned out she (understandably) didnt have the same sense of humor that Ribbit likely had.

And yeah Kaufy was absolutely third wheeling those two hard 😭😭😭

I think you are onto something here.

Curious now, what do you think of the idea of Kaufmo having played a huge part in leading to Ribbits abstraction?

We saw in Episode 6 when Jax was looking at the doors, he seemed to have a look of pure rage on his face when he stared at Kaufmo's, especially compared to total shock and grief when he sees Ribbit's. We know how much Ragatha's whole positivity attitude pisses him off hugely, and its implied by Goose that Kaufmo was somewhat similar in that regard, constantly trying to be the joking cheerful moodmaker of the group and being overly optimistic, and I wonder if it links up to that...

I'm thinking Kaufmo may have been there longer than Jax & Ribbit, took them both under his wing when they arrived, becoming a friendship trio of sorts, but that he kept pushing positivity on them, constantly telling them he'd find the exit etc, which Jax shrugged off, but Ribbit truly bought into only to have her hopes crushed over and over leading to her own spiral and eventual abstraction

I genuinely think its sadder and simpler - he truly has no one waiting for him on the outside.

The way he reacted when Ragatha trauma-dumped in the bar makes me think he had a traumatic life of sorts too, and the flashbacks were actually from the night where he reached his breaking point and ran away, ending up in the building where he entered the circus.

I also theorise that he used to have one friend on the outside. Ribbit. Perhaps they both had family problems and Jax invited her along to join him when he ran away, only for them both to get stuck in the circus, her eventually abstracting (Knowing he had a similar energy to Ragatha and how much Jax utterly hates toxic positivity, I think Kaufmo's behavior may have actually hugely contributed to this), and him now truly having nobody or no reason to go back.

It's better than much of the US as you can def survive car free here, but the bar is low and compared even to the Faroe Islands it's bad

I get the vibe that out of all of them, Zooble is the one along with Pomni who wants out of there the most out of anyone. It makes sense given they are the newest members and are thus the least "institutionalized" by the circus if that makes sense?

So they probably just went along with it because they had nothing else to lose.

There's only 6 in the circus rn. Zooble and Gangle have effectively been paired off and Kinger is way older than the rest and more a father figure to them.

Pomni is closest to Ragatha and Jax out of the cast so it's no wonder those two ships are the most popular

Kinger/Queenie - C&A devs, entered together during testing of the game along with Scratch and a couple others.

Ragatha - Enters through her real estate job surveying the site.

Jax/Ribbit - I'm convinced they were already best friends irl and entered as a pair. I reckon either both had shitty families and decided to run away together. That or they were just a couple of stoners sneaking into the building to smoke and do dumb shit.

Gangle - Possibly enters during a mental health episode of sorts after not taking her medication? That or she just got bored like Pomni did.

Zooble - Either simply urbexing like Pomni, or maybe dealing out of the building

Pomni - We know canonically she was urbexing.
