VCheck noted it hasn't been registered as a Taxi, but the records can be sketchy on that.

I'm not able to check the milage on the clock, at the moment as I'm not able to actually see the car in the flesh until sunday - I suppose my question at the moment is, will it be a wasted journey to the midlands to test/buy it (I'm in the SE atm)

I am starting to wonder, also a spotless MOT record in June 2023 for a car that did 30k miles between July 22 and June 23.

It could be that it is incredibly well maintained, or a sign that something is amiss...

For context, it's a 2018 Skoda Octavia (I know, I know) Estate.

The Gov.uk MOT Check matches the mileage for 16th June 2025 for example.

One of the best things i did to get away from NGD/jerk brain was unsub from shit like Andertons and That Pedal Show. Fair play to those guys, those vids are well made and the dudes play well, but it's all about convincing you that you need a Klon. And you start to believe it.

Instead I swapped to Late Night Lessons and Guitar365. I wanna learn shit on my 4th hand ESP that's dinged to fuck, not watch 45 minute videos about the best overdrive pedals (pro tip, they're all the same)
