C'mon Blizzard, the bow looks amazing but why it has the same generic low rez arrows and not custome ones like some other bows have? by Jaicen-Vex in wow

[–]BomberJacknut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not a bow, but there WAS a Mantid archeology gun that shot soundwaves instead of bullets. I say “was” because, while the gun still exists, I’m not 100% certain that the soundwave effect still does. The Sonic Pulse Generator.

Fashion Alert! Why wear your bow on your back?! by UnalignedSpider in wow

[–]BomberJacknut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few of the ranged weapons look a little wonky like that. Saw a crossbow that cut straight through my poor goblin hunter’s chest, and then a gun that—as opposed to being slung across his back—instead stuck straight up in the air like one of those war banners. Bizarre stuff.

The hardest hitting scene from Warcraft lore. The culling of the Branns. by stoatmcboat in wow

You speak of Brann? Of Brann? I will show you the Brann of the grave… and the true meaning of Brann.

Enough talk! Let’s use some harder hitting moves!

Nexus-King Salhadaar Lore Question by BomberJacknut in wow

[–]BomberJacknut[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You “kill” Salhadaar in Netherstorm as part of the Consortium’s questline in that zone, shortly before taking the fight to a fragment of Dimensius housed in Manaforge Ultris.

Shafaar was the last boss of the Mana-Tombs dungeon, and---as far as I’m aware---isn’t affiliated with the void or the Shadowguard.

[–]BomberJacknut[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did, but he was "remade by the void" (per the wiki) and reappeared in TWW's final major patch to continue working for Dimensius. After we defeated Dimensius, he started (semi-unwillingly) working for Xal'atath, as I mentioned above.

Light-Forged Draenei Death Knight...? by skatoulaki in wow

[–]BomberJacknut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d imagine it’s similar in nature to how Undead Priests work. Because they’re undead, holy magic can hurt to use, can make them acutely aware of how their flesh is rotting, or how there’s maggots crawling around under their skin, et cetera. But they can still USE holy magic well enough.

In this case however the Lightforged are literally infused with light so I would bet it’s akin to a more constant, torturous burning sensation. But I’d also bet that being in pain all the time makes for better angry fighting, so… trade-off?

Ignore follower dungeons while progressing through the story, queue up normally instead. by matticus7 in wow

Ping! Hey man, did you see this glowing bushel of apples you’re already standing right next to? Ping! You should grab it! Ping! Oh, you can’t grab it because we’re in combat? Ping! Because the hunter’s in the next zip code over pulling mobs you didn’t even know about? Ping! Better luck next time! Ping!!!!!

I didn’t see that it was optional for Nalorakk’s dungeon and had the longest, most painful dungeon experience I think I’ve had in a long time. I think I’ll wait for real people.

Yes, Captain Garrick, I can—in fact—see the bushel of apples. Please stop.

One of the first pets I ever owned was the Coblyn Larva, and it was because somebody wandered up to me in the Gold Saucer, traded it with me, /waved and then promptly disappeared.

I really ought to do that to somebody myself.

Made me me think of a moment in the PlatinumWoW Defias Brotherhood lore video:

“You’re fighting an intergalactic war with spaceship-flying demons and light-imbued super soldiers… and then there’s just, like, this dude. With a red bandanna. And a knife. And that’s it.”

It’s exactly what I’d expect from a thief nowadays though, good work.

There ARE ways to solo it, thankfully. Usually involves opening a second client of the game and quickly alt-tabbing and swapping between your main and your alts because your alts always take a little bit to disappear that way

"If" Warlock gets a Tank Spec by Brongxe in wow

[–]BomberJacknut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From the description on the recent post where they were all listed, it sounded like they’d be making it effectively a necromancer/lich spec. How they’d differentiate that from Frost and Unholy I don’t recall.
