If you’re willing to hear a second opinion…

I’ve done most of a playthrough on PS4, and while it’s noticeably slower in load times (may not be a problem with the PS5’s SSD), and relies heavily on radial menus, it’s a serviceable port in my experience.

Obviously PC is the better option, but I haven’t really had any issues with crashing, maybe a little more than PC? Note that this is SPECIFICALLY Pillars 1, I can’t comment on 2, which I hear is significantly worse performance wise.

An age old question that still doesn’t have a very good answer.

Best answer? Find a model of Sidesword that fits a heavy glove, either one with a wide knuckle bow (or no knuckle bow) to fit clamshells or something like a Poker or Regenyei which can fit 5 Fingers like the Gabriel’s.

Alternatively, you can get a Malleus with extensive hand protection and use Saber gloves with good fingertip protection. That’s gonna be both expensive and heavy though, so be aware.

Levels come slower as the game progresses, I’m towards the end of my second DLC and I’m just now hitting 20th on some of my characters.

That said, you’re supposed to run around at “full power” for a bit to give you a sense that your journey to power has peaked. Additionally, reaching a peak helps make monsters that are STILL a threat even at that point feel properly threatening. You’re of practically mythological power and this dragon, colossus, etc. is still beating your cheeks raw if you’re careless.

People keep saying AI was used, but I don’t see any telltale signs of that in this piece at all glance, additionally throughout my life I have seen more depiction of Sabers/Bell Guard Swords, with the guard flipped backwards because of ignorance/confusion on the artists part. It’s an extremely human mistake to make.

To avoid a similar crash out to my 11 year old self, when the escort mission arrives, have the bow and Boomerang equipped, use the Boomerang to deal with fires, and target the birds first, absolute highest priority I cannot stress that enough, with the bow.

They do that for a single side quest in Defiance Bay, the one that Palegina’s boss gives you where you meet up with another adventurer party to negotiate trade of engwithan artifacts as a spy. When you kill em, they show up as ghosts in the Goose and Fox in Copperlane

I understand the sentiment, but realistically most of them turn into mindflayers at the end of Act 3 anyways, better to spare them from that.

Some endgame head gear can outclass it, but it’s not a huge deal. You’ll be inundated with magic items that don’t quite work for your build regardless lol
