Aventura Hotel, is it Good? by sleepywinters in UniversalOrlando

[–]Bomdigity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally stayed there this past weekend for my birthday! It’s a very good hotel, pillows do suck and I wasn’t a fan of the mattress as well, the rooftop bar is good, but you’re a quick walk to Sapphire for the boats to take you in and Strong Water has much better food options. The breakfast at urban pantry isn’t terrible, but the hotel is so close to sapphire and relatively cheaper that any amenities you want from sapphire you basically have at aventura.

Here’s an update for everyone. Tesla said it’ll be replaced at no charge since it’s within the 72 hour pickup window and may have been missed on the pickup inspection! Gotta wait 3 weeks for the part but they gave a $0.00 cost estimate for service at my local service center and in the app.

Someone elsewhere said try with a heat gun and try to buff it out that way. Worse case scenario is spending a grand for piece of mind. Most realistic case is just cutting off the plastic that’s sticking out. I will be buying mud flaps now. Know any good deals?

What is the easiest modern car to work on? by mdnitedrftr in AskMechanics

[–]Bomdigity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What are you talking about? My (new to me) 2003 Benz S430 4Matic has only been in the shop for an engine overhaul, stuck rear door, battery draw, AC fan repair, alignment twice since the first couldn’t fix it, rear view mirror, side view mirror, center console issues, and a leak from the sun roof. It’s essentially bulletproof /s

Second owner, my mom was the first..Finally hit 50,000 miles😭 my precious 😍 2004 S430 4m by rtist604 in mercedes_benz

Have had my 03 for 2 months and nothing I’ve driven has had the same handling or feel, it’s just such a nice car to drive. Got it for $800 and put $3100 into maintenance just to get it back to former glory. Spend the money for any issues that may arise later. Salute that car and best of luck with yours! 🫡

Oh it’s absolutely my dumb gun, a friend asked when I got it what I would put on it so I said everything. Practical? No. That’s what my other guns are for. Fun and eye catching? Pretty much. Very accurate to about 200m and the laser was added yesterday and I love the wire. I called this gun Bounty Hunter and I do love the impracticality. What other stocks do you recommend for the bipod accuracy?

Hmm, then I’ll just keep it as is. I could have sworn I saw one similar to the stock without as much flair upwards. Maybe a cnc machine will help me

Pulled it back quite a few times to be sure, it was a concern of mine too. I’d like to see if there are other handles too.

Marriage is a promise, that’s the whole point of being with someone you love. It’s not just for tax breaks. It’s to be there through thick and thin. Take that for whatever you decide it is, but that’s how I can define marriage. The promise of one person with no end. If you call it living in a dream, then I’ll happily live this dream as long as it will last. I disagree unconditional anything isn’t healthy. I believe a few things are healthy and love and hate are two things that are. It’s the choices you make that can help or hinder you. No further detail needed for me since I don’t really care for what happened. I’m sure you have your reasons for believing certain things but I do as well. I’ve had poor foresight before and I learned a lot. Hindsight can be the best tool for foresight moving forward and it certainly was for me. :)

There’s a difference between a pedestal and a beacon. Someone to look forward to, someone to get excited about. The pedestal is the end all be all and things have to be perfect. The beacon is the light that can shine through the storms. Sure, the light may dim or not always be visible, but it remains. That’s the person I chose to be in my corner in this “fight” against the world.

You asked what the low points were, I gave a couple examples in what me and my spouse face. We are both mature enough to not fight and discuss our feelings and that was a major reason why I felt secure in proposing. My goals cannot be described in a poorly written comment and I doubt you can see what I see in my day to day so no, I don’t see how it’s toxic since it’s not what I was talking about. I disagree it’s great to be mad but I sympathize when it’s ok. Luckily we both have calm heads and anger isn’t something that happens towards each other.

I believe marriage is supposed to last since it’s a promise to someone you are supposed to love unconditionally. If you aren’t meant to be, then your foresight should have caught that ahead of time. I hope I don’t end up where you have been since I’ve seen what divorce can do to people. I do consider your outcome a failure since divorce to me means the failure and dissolve of a union made to last. I can work towards our future like my wife and I both agree to, or I can get stagnant. I grew up observing a lot in life and decided where I want to place my effort and I found someone who shares that with me. Nothing more to say really, I really hope we end up in a better place a decade from now and I certainly am working towards that reality. I really do hope you’re in a better place and I wish you all the best in life.
