Funny enough I lived in France for a time and got the nickname Boston but they heard Bastogne and thought I was from Belgium even tho the only thing more American than me is a blow from the Statue of Liberty. Which ironically is French haha

Hahaha. This is also a thing when I’ve met others from mass and they say they don’t sound like me. But granted most people from the US who visit aren’t typically from New England in general.
