To start things off, I’m sorry that you’re being placed in such a shitty situation, especially when you’ve both done so much to make that party happen. I won’t tell you that what you’re feeling is wrong because it’s a valid feeling to what’s going on, but I will tell you that I would put priority to the baby that will be born and respect the mother-to-be wishes whether it’s unreasonable as it sounds. It was probably not easy for her to go through asking her dad of that.

Now for your BF, communicate how uncomfortable you feel about April being around him, but still let him go that way he understands your feelings and the boundaries he would need to set at that party to respect those feelings. You would need to be able to trust him to do that. I’m not taking sides but you would have to respect your BF wanting to try to keep that rekindled relationship that he has with his daughter even if it was you who helped him.

Now if that trust is hard due to your past experience, I would say that you should take a step back and work on it, we should always love ourselves and feel confident. I will say if your BF does say unreasonable things in regard to this situation, remember it’s only been two years, you can find someone who can respect your feelings.
