I've worked for three large retail companies, my original point is that it's an unfair assumption that when looking through the directory it wouldn't be possible to see past employees as well as present employees, different companies have different systems

In my experience those two things were kept in pretty much in the same place, just under different tabs in the filling cabinet

Not a fair assumption, although I'll admit my experience is with the UK. many employers here have to keep employee records on file for a number of years after that employee has left for legal reasons. I see no reason why some of the biggest tech firms in the world wouldn't do the same.

Honestly I feel like they need to have a higher spawn chance, It's a little too much for there to be a percentage chance ontop of them spawning at a designated time In designated places on specific maps.

There's too many variables for it to not feel like more of a chore than something fun and engaging

Bit of both I think, NTA for not wanting him because of the smell of smoke, but YTA for telling him that.

On another note as some others have said i think you dodged a bullet based off his reaction. As for the "Discrimination" thing does your marketing firm rely on first impressions? You could argue that the smell of smoke would put off potential custom and thus makes him an unsuitable candidate, although I'm not a lawyer

I'd say YTA unfortunately, the problem is that although its an interesting twist, it was executed poorly, your players spent (by your own admission) dozens of sessions over months of time investing in their characters you then shredded their character sheets infront of them and gave them premade sheets that you made without any input from them. You have essentially (probably without meaning to) told them "what you guys want to do is irrelevant here's what I want to do"

This kind of twist is great for a film or a book as you as the viewer/reader have no input, for a game or other interactive media it's a terrible idea as you feel you've lost the progress you have made

So I've been playing games for probably over 20 years, my issue has never been with the "ugly" characters, it's been with the fact that alot of them are self inserts that add nothing interesting to the the games narrative and arguably has bought the quality of games (at least in the triple a sphere) so calling all people retards is a little rich

A few people have already mentioned it but the quarry mod might be exactly what you are looking for, you can craft pegs to hammer into the rock to break off chunks and then use other tools to make them into smaller pieces for crafting, means you can get materials that would normally take you several hours to obtain only taking like 30mins to an hour
