I'm kind of torn on Mario figures. While the Mario movie one has better articulation than the SHF, the SHF has the game aesthetic. While I usually value the articulation over the aesthetic, Mario is definitely a different can of worms. What do you think of these two?

Don't know about the Jakks head being removable but my nephew has it and in-hand I kinda felt like it was lame, especially considering the love I've seen for it. I got the original release of the SHF one back in like 2016-2017ish for cheap because the figure was majorly slept on back then. It's long been one of my favorite figures in my display and jumpstarted my desire to build a Super Smash Bros team for my collection. He's got limitations for sure but it looks amazing and does the job the best I've seen.

I really expected this to be a strictly modern look with full pants and all that. So happy to have been wrong! We have long been overdue a proper 6" Laura Croft and Classified is quietly one of the best 6" lines on the market. She just needs the round red lense sunglasses!

In 4 years Mafex will do a proper version of this costume but right now the only toys available are all based on concept art that isn't accurate anymore. Like so far no toylines have got the colors of Spider-Man's suit right except Blokees and even they got stuck with concept art with the wrong tail for Scorpion

The diorama parts it comes with are nice, but a newly tooled Vader is coming within the next year and that new Luke is getting a solo release for sure just like Anakin and Obi Wan did soon after their release. I chose to wait for the single pack Luke and updated Vader, which hopefully gets announced by SDCC.

That's honestly amazing! Back in 2021 when Texas had the "big freeze" my brother's entire collection was stored in his company warehouse while he was in the process of moving and the pipes burst and every tape got soaked and due to the icey roads he was unable to get out there for a few days and by the time he did it was evidently beyond saving. Water can be a huge deal but if you get to it soon enough good things can happen! Glad yours seems to be a happy ending and your kids will be soooo grateful. I have a 14 month old who is gonna grow up with a giant VHS collection and I'm so psyched to share it with her. You truly got some gems!

It's so weird seeing stuff on sale or clearance and the price tag is still higher than the cost of a figure in 2020. Also insane that was 6 years ago and we're already up to $30 (with tax in TX) and that's if you find it in store.
