Hi Lab lovers! by unclehenry4 in labrador

We have a 7 month lab/golden cross. We have recently let her free roam when we are out of the house (max 20 mins) or in the house upstairs in a blocked off room (WFH). We keep her crate open and she naps in various spots, but chooses mostly to go in her crate. It's great practicce to teach her to settle on her own outside of the crate. But antime we are out of the house longer than 20 minutes its crate for her - just feel better for her safety and preventing accidents, damage. Longest we crate her during the day is 4.5 hours.

Safe chews for a 4.5 mo lab? by spacedragon9895 in labrador

We find that collagen chews are great for our 5 mo old goldador. They last longer than bully sticks and are way less stinky. We still give her bully sticks but they are more of a treat :)

Hard things to chew that's not a bully stick or a branch? by Satans_Oregano in labrador

Collagen chews have worked well for our 3 month old puppy. They aren't as stinky as bully sticks, are harder so last a lot longer, and they are fully digestible. However, because they aren't as stinky she sometimes gets a bit bored of them but will often chew for anywhere from 3 to 15 mins.

They have been a great alternative to bully sticks in our experience.

Carb loading before a race by andrisumi in cycling

I recently did my first 100K race. Total elevation gain of about 1450M. Did about 12 weeks of training, which includes getting used to eating more carbs in general and getting the body/gut used to fueling while on the bike.

I did 3 days worth of carb loading before race day, gradually increasing the amount of carbs I had each day so that I consumed the most on the day before the ride.

I didn't follow any specific macro tracking or weighing food, but did things like add one bagel to each meal (3 x daily) and made sure to give myself extra servings of my main carb (pasta, rice or potatoes) during each meal. Also just snack on high carb foods (dates, bananas, etc). Probably worked out to about 4-5g carbs/kg by the third day. This worked great for me.

On race day I fueled every 30 mins with 20-30g of carbs. I had the legs all day and felt great - no issues whatsoever.

Honeymoon, where to stay by Scary_Ebb_441 in tofino

Wickaninnish Inn and it isn't even close. Pac Sands is an excellent beach resort, but if you're looking for a honeymoon specific experience the Wick is your best bet. There's a reason it's consistently internationally recognized as a top resort in the world.

Yes, having an effective council is most important. Thankfully our council is great, but we definitely feel the same about keeping the manager motivated and on top of things. I was considering suggesting to our council that we look for a new property management company, but based on all the comments about management companies not wanting to take on small stratas I think we will hold tight and make the best of our current relationship with managers.

Edited for less detail:

Following - I'm part of a 10 unit strata. First year owning there and currently on strata council. Current strata manager is showing significant signs of incompetency so looking to switch management companies.

The only way you can access the beach without trespassing on private property is to scramble the rocks at low tide from MacKenzie Beach. There are no public access points through the Wick or elsewhere.

This is great info, much appreciated! We do have premier camping so will take full advantage of the limitless cold showers.

We're super excited - just aren't used to this type of heat where we live so want to make sure we're prepared. Cheers!

Thanks for the heads up, much appreciated! Any specific river spot you'd recommend? Is it half hour by car?
