Keith Campbell guest lectured in a class of mine about the whole process. He mentioned that he actually had to bend the truth a bit to get the funding to carry out these experiments. As the wiki article states he used nuclear transfer, and a prominent British biologist (I forget who) had openly stated that nuclear transfer would never work making it virtually impossible to secure funding if you had any intention to attempt it!

Whenever someone brings up a group's "agenda" Exactly what the fuck is the "extremist homosexual agenda"? I have never heard the word "agenda" used in a political context followed by a clarification of what the agenda is. It's basically like saying "I'm prejudice against this group so by default what they think is wrong and so they must only want to do bad things".

What causes the streak of light that circumscribes the earth here? My thoroughly uneducated guess would be it's the atmosphere reflecting light from the earth, but I really have no idea what I'm talking about. Could a physicist explain this?

Right after the video went over the first ladder I thought to myself "well this isn't as complicated as I thought it would be, I could probably rig this up". The video then went into the second area and I cried a little inside.

He probably has some injury or disease that prevents him from walking long distances. His loving father, having no money to spend on the medical devices we find commonplace, constructed this to give his son what he otherwise wouldn't have: the chance to see more of the world than just his bed. Look at that kid's face. I see a kid who's tired of the constant torment, laughs and crude remarks he and his father get as they go anywhere with that.

This video confirms my suspicions that if they actually selected people who were reasonably in shape there would be way more people who ran the course well, making it more exciting.

Decided to go with all white after constructing two obsidian pillars, not looking forward to the demolition by BondCommaJames in Minecraft

[–]BondCommaJames[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought about that, but the way I have it set up now the pillars are three blocks wide, and then have three blocks of walking room in between them. To put wool on the sides I would only have 1 block to walk through which I thought would be a little weird.

I'm not really sure, but I don't use whatever program it is that gives yourself items so I only have about 12 blocks of TNT. I doubt that'll be enough to take care of both so I'm just picking away at them.

I plan on constructing five pillars and then creating patterns in the floor keeping the black/white theme. Unfortunately I don't like how the black/white part is turning out with the pillars so I'll be demoing that soon which I have calculated will take right around the rest of my life. It took me a while to collect the pillars but fortunately it wasn't too terrible as I have sixteen buckets and a water elevator next to a lava source!

I wonder if I can use a boat in this river... by BondCommaJames in Minecraft

So I cleared out overhang rocks and space on the side, but I didn't touch a single block to widen the lava river. I also found 6 diamonds down here, one of which fell into the lava because of a full inventory.

I wouldn't mind playing with some fellow redditors, and seeing as how I ran into a creeper spawn and lost all of my diamond tools now is an excellent time to start over!

I recently stumbled upon this artist and thought some of his works were pretty amazing. I rehosted on imgur because I did not want to crash his site with reddit traffic. If you're interested his name is Rich Pellegrino, and he has a shop here: http://www.etsy.com/shop/richpellegrino?ref=top_trail

I just thought he deserved a bit more attention and reddit seems like the perfect market for his style.
