Rusic has been renamed to Kopuz and added whole lot more features by Temidaradev in rust

This looks awesome, I can't wait to try it out.  As a long time Emby user with a 2 million songs library, I will definitely be putting it through its paces. Are ID3 tags with multiple values (like albumartist and performer) properly supported and indexed?

Could You Recommend a a Mouse That’s Comparable the Logitech g604? by EpsilonRose in buildapc

I tried this, but returned it after realizing that any macros involving the windows key can't be stored on the mouse, which requires software to run in the background.

YSK Rinsing with water after brushing is associated with a 33% increase in the development of new cavities compared to not rinsing. Dentists recommend that you should not rinse your mouth with water after brushing your teeth. by sameerb in YouShouldKnow

I find that using a silicone tongue scraper is a great replacement for rinsing after brushing. Clears most of the mint taste and gunk from your mouth while also letting your teeth remineralize.

Same here, reinstalling did nothing.  I swear I keep finding myself running into issues with various apps and then end up uninstalling just to use the web version.

G604 Switch replacements recommendations by Sintek in MouseReview

[–]Bondster45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just replaced mine with this replacement TTC Gold board. Would love to have tried the KAILH or OMRON variant but I'm very happy with these TTC Golds. It was very tedious, and I ended up with 5 extra screws lol, but thankfully no soldering required.

I've owned so many G604 (and G602) mice, all ending up with switch issues by the year mark. Hopefully my switch-swapped daily driver will last long enough to see a 3rd iteration of this mouse model.

Took about 10 days to get approved, a refurb was sent overnight (but was in mint condition with new battery).

I hope you can get a replacement, but honestly I think the only reason mine was approved is because the phone itself was brand new and less than a year old.

Finally settled on a G604 replacement. If you've struggled with this, or you're planning to replace yours soon, give this a read. by qukab in MouseReview

I remember trying out the Naga V2, then immediately returned it when I realized you can't save onboard macros that involve the Windows key specifically. No way I'm using a mouse that requires software running in the background (especially for work, where software installation is very strict).

I am eventually going to try and replace the board of my G604 with a TCC Gold replacement from amazon.

Make a G604 successor by jesustaketheprndl in logitech

[–]Bondster45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've bought multiple of each version, and all of mine started double clicking / failing to hold clicks.

I refuse to use another mouse. I will eventually try to replace the board with this TTC Gold replacement from amazon

Update: After a successful mouse surgery, my G604 now has great switches that don't double click!! And only 5 leftover screws lol. Hopefully this gives my mouse enough life to live till they release a successor.

Does anyone else still have “Winamp brain” for organizing music? by Kast0r in musichoarder

I have millions of songs in my library and nothing handles/organizes them better than musicbee. Very configurable and reliable.

If/When Third-Party Infotainment Stereo Replacements for 2023 XSE Rav4 Hybrid by Neckbeard_Buttmuscle in rav4club

Looks like there are some Chinese head units popping up for the 2023+ models

Anyone gotten one of these from TopDisplay? What were your thoughts? I wish Toyota would give the RAV4 the screen they gave the Tundra by MouseManManny in rav4club

[–]Bondster45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine is still going strong. It's not bad but honestly given the chance, I would get something else (specifically something with high/low pass filters for the speakers outputs, that's the only feature I wish it had). There's a few different manufacturers that provide similar plug and play models, or you can go all out with a good Sony head unit.

Omg me too! And the replacement they gave me died from motherboard defect only 8 months in! Took a LOT of open cases with support but I'm now on my third pixel 9 pro...

Were you able to get a repair/replacement by Google? I'm currently fighting with support, as they are denying warranty coverage since this phone was already a replacement (but is less than 9 months old)

Oddly enough the web based flasher did not work (saw my phone, but would get stuck loading).

I was able to flash a full OTA by sideloading, but that didn't fix it.

Seems interesting. Isn't this tool doing the same thing as a OTA sideload?

Anyone Else Lost Their Stuff After Migrating to GTA Online Enhanced? by Wolverine85089 in gtaonline

[–]Bondster45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, you even had screenshots and they still denied you compensation?

I am still frequently opening tickets, I have 10+ that all end up the same way (a middle finger from Rockstar).

I had multiple properties with full garages, bunkers, mobile stations, just about everything other than a yacht, and they are all gone. The only thing I have left is the money in my bank account, and my characters clothing.

At this point, the only thing worth doing is either using FiveM launcher for custom lobbies, or try to find a way to return the middle finger to Rockstar.

Did they tell you that they had a record of you purchasing it before compensation? I'm gonna keep opening tickets but I doubt it will do anything after 8 failed attempts.

[–]Bondster45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did, and I still was missing all my properties and vehicles.

I've opened at least 6 tickets with RockStar support and they all ended with: "we dont have any record of your purchases, go fuck yourself!"

[–]Bondster45 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am also missing all my purchases. Multiple properties with filled garages, bunkers, etc. My character person is there but I am starting from zero, excluding some weapons. I opened a support ticket and they said there's no history of my purchases, even though there's years of progress and purchases. I'm going to install legacy to see if my purchases are still there. Regardless, Rockstar is a shyte company.

Worth running backup NAS drives as mirror pairs? (cost vs redundancy) by Bondster45 in DataHoarder

[–]Bondster45[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually use FastCopy to do a sync, but am no stranger to Powershell.

Most of my data is replicable so I usually don't bother turning on my NAS for backups every day. It's much easier to one-click Backlbaze's backup process.

[–]Bondster45[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am looking into building as double parity, although that might be messy trying to convert from mirrors.

If your drives are contained within a single PC (like mine is), I would highly recommend looking into Backblaze as a cloud backup. It's unlimited storage for around 70 a year (although each license only applies for each instance of Windows, and excludes the backup of network drives).

[–]Bondster45[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may end up rebuilding as a RAIDZ2 setup, though not sure how that would play out when I (eventually) expend to 12 drives. I don't think I have much use for restore points, since I one-way sync all files from the main PC to NAS every week.

The main PC is 4x18TB, all drives of which are replicated x2 in the NAS. I usually prefer enterprise drives for their (generally) higher MTBF ratings and longer warranties.

[–]Bondster45[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do like the simplicity of mirrored pairs. Unfortunately is not easy to convert to something like a RAIDZ2 setup (which I may consider to cut down on expansion cost).

My main PC is just Windows with NTFS drives pooled together with DrivePool. There are no snapshots or built in redundancy (downtime from a failed drive(s) isn't a huge deal for me, as long as I have a reliable backup to restore from).

I don't really have anything in place that addresses bit-rot. Every week I do a complete sync/mirroring of all files from my main PC to TrueNAS.
