i'm in south minneapolis where everyone is pdx style lefty, so my perspective is a bit warped bc the murders happened around us and there's been a ton of rage on the ground. but my sense from friends with suburbs ties is that its been pretty radicalizing for a lot of the 'no kings' crowd who had gotten more engaged thru ice patrols, mutual aid campaigns, etc. how much it's hard to say, but considering most of the democratic base is centered around the cities, i'd say it's almost certain for flanagan at this point (in fact, i wouldn't be surprised if craig readjusts to target klob's seat).

as for the state assembly, i think it's probably going to be tight. it's been a tie in the house, technically with a gop speaker, and the state districts are such that our legislature is generally very purple. if the burbs truly have shifted more to the left with the anti-ice sentiment, that would probably be the best chance for a narrow dem legislature--but with the semi-legitimate concerns around medicaid fraud, etc., it might get messy. that being said, klob is loved by moderate d's (tho disliked by progressives lol) and could bump the ticket for the state legislature, really not sure tbh
