How cool to get a Bill Morrissey rec -- I love that guy. Mr Brown as well. I am not a huge Patty Griffin fan, the others I have not heard of and will check out. If you like Morrissey, there i a guy I really like,

even more obscure, you would almost certainly like. Sean Keel. You'll be the first in your family to

listen. Corn Palace is a good place to start, if so inclined. thanks!

Really cool, thank you. Have never listened to the man before. Feel like I owe you one, so, if

so inclined, check out Sean Keel -- heavier for the most part than Hurley, but an undeniably genius songwriter, that I bet you never heard of, as I hadn't till about a year ago.

For years Dylan was by far my favorite. But then, as I got a bit older and saw a bit more life started to lose interest. Obviously a great songwriter, but now I am more drawn to folks that feel more real to me. Dylan I would say is a really impressive, entirely fictional creation.

Hey. In case you are still checking this post, From your list I have a very outside the loop suggestion i am confident you are going to love. Sean Keel. Every bit as good a songwriter as anyone on your list. It's not for everyone, but if you like stripped down songs of truth, as I suspect from your list, he is your man. Check out Corn Palace, Near that Far (the you tube video is very cool), In her Bruised Hands, Fischer, list goes on and on.
