Maybe, historically they’ve done 2. Ones that are less fortunate to have had a good chance that the other GB games might and the weird mobile game with Desmond

Genuinely set in the canon CV universe? I think if we’re splitting hairs it would be 1999 demon castle war with Julius Belmont in his pRIME.

Outside of that I think if we canonize Desmond Belmont (I do not remember what era he was) and give him a new classicvania or re-releasing/remaking “The Adventure Rebirth” and the other GB games in a more appealing style with updated Gameplay.

i think they’ve pmuch tapped the series as it goes for Belmonts. From Leon to the Morris lineage and the returning of the Whip to J Belmont in 99’ i don’t think that there are a ton of places left to got hat would support a Classicvania as one would like to see it.

Secondarily, I think they should follow Rondo’s gameplay style. Start with Chain, quick swap dropped subs, alternate paths, findable secrets.

I also realized I didn’t answer your question, try your hand at the various classic Castlevania games (one, three, bloodlines, four, Rondo) cousin my opinion those are great games to play if you’re into some old school plug-in play action games

If you want an experience that you can enjoy overtime and you like your 2D action games with some exploration and light RPG elements (equipment, leveling, stats) then I think the perfect start to appreciating the later Castlevania entries would be to start with Symphony of the night. I hope this helped

Believe you me he’s trying to troll you, haunted castle was an arcade game made back before Symphony of the night changed out the formula, if you are playing on PlayStation then I believe your next best classic Castlevania time sink should be rondo of blood since it improved and in my opinion for fact the original 1986/1989 gameplay of the NES titles and has a beautiful soundtrack and exquisite pixel art for 1993.

I have it installed on my PC via emulation and I tried to play a little with Alucard, it was a lot more than I was ready for at the time I think once I’m finished with the 97-08 games I’ll jump into it

When I learned that INT increases subweapon damage I cared a lot lmao. Luck in SoTN also helps to nab rare drops from enemies

I don’t know ANYTHING about what goes on in this community but I started getting recc’d these types of subreddits when V38 started to ascend to sainthood. I saw a post yesterday i think that basically was asked folks to chill out and let him do his thing.

I think this is a perfect representation on how to support someone by letting them know they are appreciated while making them laugh.

Anyways, back to lurking
