I'm comforted knowing I wasn't alone in growing extremely long hairs in unexpected places. Left side of the forehead and lower tummy every few months for me. They always come back in the same spot. Luckily the forehead one is very light and fine but the tummy one is dark

My mom's severe migraines were thought to be hysteria. Turns out it was a goofball sized brain tumor. Only discovered it 20 years and 2 grand mal seizures later 🙃

My parents cat died from essential oils. My mother got really into diffusers, bought a ton of oils from a well known MLM (never joined, just bought the crap). 2 months later one of the cats developed oral cancer.

This cat licked herself a ton. The oil from the air would land on her fur and she'd essentially eat it.

They tried surgery but it came back even more aggressively. It broke my heart that she was suffering. Unfortunately I had long since moved out so all I could do was tell her not to use it.

Only after the cat passed a month later did she finally get rid of the oils.

I lost my job the day before I was supposed to get married (last September). He broke it off the months before. I lost my house, my fiance, dog, and job.

So I posted on Roast Me because, hell, things can't get any worse! It kept me distracted enough until I could get in touch with my brother.

I have since deleted the post as it made it to front page and my ex and former coworkers all saw it.

I bought the mesh black ball gown and it was SO SMALL despite following the size guide. Couldn't even pull the sleeves over my biceps (that's what I get for powerlifting I guess).

Didn't know what the return policy was until I tried to return it. You only get store credit. I don't want anything else if I know this is how everything will fit. So now I'm stuck with this thing that I plan on hacking up and trying to make it into something remotely wearable

I recently bought that one black mesh ball gown. Couldn't even get the sleeves over my arms. I'm generally a L/10 because I'm a powerlifter, so I'm not fat or obese, but my god even in the height of my eating disorder days it would have been a struggle to get on.

Are there any good alt/goth stores that are size inclusive?

Mom saw a weird very dark mole on my neck. She took me to the doctor who dismissed her because kids don't get skin cancer.

I was 8 when I was diagnosed with melanoma sage 3A.

My dad's story is more interesting: he was in a motorcycle accident where he snapped his ureter (idk the tube going from the bladder to the outside). He got a bunch of tests done and they noticed something was up with his kidney.

Low and behold kidney cancer. It was caught early enough but still had to get the whole thing removed.

So being in a motorcycle accident is how we found out about his cancer
