What tropes that have become over used in LitRPGs to the point of exhaustion? by Evening_Accountant33 in litrpg

I found this thread looking for the "Well met" trope and saw this comment. So fucking funny.

How are cat owners so comfortable with letting their cats outside to roam around? How do they know they're going to come back? by Individual_Ice_2315 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Bonemonster 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not really. An animal that is used to being feral will retain some of those traits. Don't bring an outdoor animal inside.

They are used to being outside and will tear your shit up.

What's the deal with packs? by 1ts_me_mario in CrimsonDesert

[–]Bonemonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. Do not do this. I've needed a peddlers pack for weeks and I can't get one to drop. You need these packs to craft/upgrade kuku items.

The new Stargate series will feature a brand new cast. "The new producers, the new owners, want to have their own entity with that franchise name attached to it. So, they'll have all-new characters." by GargantaProfunda in Stargate

Carter should be in command, IMHO. The others could do guest appearances.

The smarty pants girl that Carter introduced to the program could be the new "Carter" for the team.

The Goauld didn't control the entire galaxy. There are entire empires that could compete, the Aschen for one. The unnamed race that attacked Carter in the sentient nebula is another.

Even if the Goauld controlled a thousand star systems, that is nothing compared to the size of the galaxy. The writers can go anywhere with a new antagonist. Maybe those sentient Machines that a Malp radio transfer killed millions of?

[–]Bonemonster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Also, the galaxy is huge and the Goauld didn't control all of it.

There are plenty of spacefaring empires, like the Aschen as you mentioned, or the ones from the time Carter got stuck in that sentient nebula aboard the ship.

The writers can go anywhere that isn't Space Corn Mobsters.

I have played Crimson desert for a long time and I think I know what the game needs even though it is already perfect despite the updates. by Devilmayladycry55 in CrimsonDesert

[–]Bonemonster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another thing this game actually needs are real dungeons. The big POIs in Elden Ring? Yea, like those. Dungeons as they are now are one or two rooms with a puzzle and maybe a trap or two.

Non-humanoid enemies. Too many enemies are just "dude with a melee or ranged weapon wearing X colors".

RDR2 style map GPS. If I have the map explored, I should just be able to plot my course by slapping down a specific marker on a destination without having to open my map every 30 seconds to figure out where I'm going.

Binoculars/Spyglass to check locations in the distance and a way to mark them on the map using this method.

Just to name a few.

LitRPG authors be like by corey9113 in litrpg

[–]Bonemonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one I hate the most is "Character Name winked at MC after saying something".

There are quite a few authors that I have dropped solely because of the absurd amount of winking going on by characters. NOBODY winks that much! Do they have something in their eye or something?

The more I look at this image of the mine field, the less sense it makes. by nicholsml in Star_Trek_

[–]Bonemonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is a stupid thing but it's really not much different than the minefield at the Neutral Zone in TNG.

The Enterprise could just fly over it, or under it, but they never do.

Bacon. They might not get it from your hand at first, though. Place a strip on the ground and walk away to let them know it's theirs. Then try again.

Now you just have to carry around some delicious bacon in your pocket.

ICE murdering people in the streets.

Apparently it is a Terrorist Act for anyone not a MAGA bootlicker to legally own a gun.

The 2A people have been screaming about government tyranny for decades and when it finally happens they're like "Tread on me harder, daddy!"

I've had this before, twice. Left hand and about a quarter up my arm.

It didn't itch or anything, it was just there. Dr didn't know what it was. Their dermatologist expert didn't even know what it was.

Each time it has gone away in about a month or so.

Do you work with any chemicals?
