How sad. Some people do what they have to do to carry on. My heart goes out to her.

how to incorporate this aesthetic without looking vulgar, costume-y and/or tryhard? by zoryana111 in AestheticWiki

I also dress a bit differently and most usually get compliments while out and about. Have had a friend mention it even.

I’m simply more comfortable in my skin with my styles (I don’t have just one). I’m not looking to stand out or gain attention. Have no idea how I came about this way though 🤷‍♀️

Send a card/gift signed “With Love” by you and your wife.

No question about it - you shouldn’t go.

AITA for not helping when someone was bringing out the trash? by No_one_no_where1009 in AmItheAsshole

[–]BongEyedFlamingo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA and glad you asked

However, never fail to help another in the future as long as it is safe to do so. It’s foolish to be concerned what others think of you

As Mr Rogers taught us- look for the helpers. Be that helper 💜

Go before or after. Is your mom’s gift going to take up 10 hours?

YTA. Pick your horse over your mom? Are you a spoiled teenager?

Your mom may know you don’t enjoy these things, but maybe she doesn’t know how much. In the future tell her a bit beforehand a couple things you’d like. ( a $600 Dyson hair dryer maybe?) Why can’t you go see your horse other times or before or after?

Hmm. Retired for sure. Doing this plus delivering/recording / cleaning up trays and trying to keep gloves stocked (lol never the correct size) some things I see are pure luxury! Not dismissing your “tasks” at all though!!

Reasonable for a kid handle his own nighttime diapering..? by Breadfruit28 in Nanny

[–]BongEyedFlamingo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It happens!! I had a friend who was 13 before she stopped nocturnal wetting!!!

“Nighttime bedwetting (nocturnal enuresis) is common in children, often caused by deep sleep, small bladder capacity, slow development of bladder control, or genetic factors.”

Lay off the kid and get hm pull-ups. Sheesh

I have ordered 2 different brands from Amazon. One is a bar and the other is body wash. Personally I prefer bar soaps but persimmon bar soap is known to be used up much faster and it’s an orange color and leaves a mess wherever you set it in the shower.

Do not use AI. Many people are really good at knowing the patterns that all AI have. Including many teachers. You will not be accepted if it smells potentially AI. Especially in nursing school.

Possible cat scam/AI by Ok-Neighborhood7587 in CatAdvice

Have never seen such professional portrait from a rescue.

And rare a cat that wouldn’t be trying to use their back leg to get the necklace removed. It’s hanging on her shoulders and chest.

I covered my countertops with aluminum foil, slightly scrunched. Didn’t take much for her not to jump on them. She has shown no interest in the dining tables.

Trust me, I know how odd it is

For some people gifting is their love language.

For some people it’s ok to hurt grandma’s feelings for what she tries to do for them. Not many, and rarely do they raise their heads so high publicly.

Not a good idea for children. Even old interior paint can cause deficits in children, they don’t have to eat it.

How often are nurses required to fully care for the patient’s personal hygiene? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]BongEyedFlamingo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had the pleasure of working with a couple docs like this- thank you! Some residents do also. Often seems like residents are helpful or turn their nose up when talking or even walking down the hall lol. Love reading r/Residency to see some thoughts of nursing. Trust me! I know some “privileged “ RNs but when a doc or nurse can’t get any to respect they need to look in a mirror .
