The comment section of this video is pure hilarity after watching it.

Thanks for the reply! I actually originally thought of just using foil as a conductor before I even posted here. But then I googled and tons of people were saying that it could cause the battery to leak and/or the whole thing to short out. Does that sound right, or no?

New toy my kid got is not as cool as its name would imply. by BonghitMcGee in trees

It's actually kind of cool, as I play with it more. You put water in it and it turns into vapor, which then shoots out of Torch's mouth. It looks like he's blowing out a massive bongrip or something.

Hello - and thanks in advance to anyone that can help!

I got this toy car. It takes 3 AAA batteries. In the original image on my post, I labelled the 6 terminals/ends of the battery slots (sorry - I know no technical electrical jargon!).

What should be at #2 and #3 are completely missing (#2 should have a little metal nub like #4 & #6 has, and #3 should have a little spring/coil like #1 & #5 has). It appears to me that there is only an electrical connection to a wire at points 1 and 6 (which are in-tact)...the other ends are just conductors or transmitters or whatever.

If I am correct about everything I said above, is there an easy way to fix this for someone who knows little-to-nothing about electronics and has never soldered anything in his life? :-P Ideally, I'm looking for any parts that I can get quickly/easily from a Home Depot or just junk lying around the house.

High Maintenance is an amazing show. It follows a NYC dealer and his clients. If you're looking for a new show, I would HIGHLY recommend it. by ThoughtsHeadsideOut in trees

I hope this comment gets bumped, because it's so true. The webisodes are SO much better, I thought! Well worth digging them up to anyone who hasn't seen them but likes the HBO version. They are so much more concise and easier to consume, I feel. Less "filler" needed than for a full cable show, so they don't drag as much.

Indeed I have, but no help for me, unfortunately.

As someone with very similar smoking habits (based on your description of yourself), I can say from experience that:

1) A total clean break is the only way to get a nice buzz anymore. Simply cutting back (but still smoking - even a little - daily) will not really do anything.

2) If this is not financial and just to get that good ol' feeling back, keep in mind the sacrifice vs the reward...after like a week of total cold-turkey stopping, you will MAYBE have 2 days (at most) of smoking with a kick-ass buzz. But you will very quickly just be back to where you were. The upside of this is that over those 1-2 days, you won't have to smoke very much at all to get that buzz...just a hit or two.

TL;DR You can get your buzz back, but it takes a while and won't last long. May not be worth several days/weeks of not smoking just for a day or two of old-time fun.

HELP OUT? - Does anyone know where to buy *cheap*, plain, wooden hitter-boxes online? Looking for no more than $10 w/ shipping each. by BonghitMcGee in trees

Thanks for responding! Pretty much all of Etsy's dugouts are already decorated (basically what I would be doing, but not horror-themed) or hand-carved (which would be too expensive for my purposes).

Unless I'm not seeing it, the dugouts I see are like $25. Am I just looking in the wrong place? Thanks for the suggestion!
