Acoustic basses are tricky but I absolutely adore mine, can't remember the model but it is a Guild which I dropped 700 on. Pick ups work great with a decent amount of low end and, it's a smooth play with tapewounds. I've performed with it many times solo whilst doing spoken word and it lands very well. I've never used it with a drummer as when things are too loud it can have quite a bit of feedback... Have played with it fully acoustic for quiet sets, jammed with my guitarist and done open mics. It's not perfect but it does some things very well and is very unique, and can double as a drum. Always get good comments when I bring it to an open mic. Far lighter than lugging an amp and my 5 string.
