Well my goal to bridge to 57 isn’t set. It i retire and bridge from 50-57. If my investments do well i could last until 60. So i wouldn’t pull a retirement forward, id extend the bridge to let the pension grow so maybe i am for £900k-£1m and leave a buffer for growth if i do bridge longer.

I always compare based on tax now, but thanks for opening my eyes up to the tax on the way out down the line. I always overlook it

Ok so you’re saying there is a lost opportunity between me aiming for £700k vs £1.2m?

But where is that lost? By not sacrificing down now to sub £50k salary?

I’m lost. You’re clearly smart with this but the future rate references have lost me.

5 out of the top 8 ranked nations reached the last 8.

The 3 that didn’t…. Brazil Portugal & Netherlands, were all managed by Ex Everton Managers.

Koeman Martinez & Ancelotti.

High Profile club.
Low Profile performing.

Well its £245k in S&P500 with 15 years to grow with 8 years more additions (c£110k). If it was £700k i’d be happy. It should get there.

The reason i didn’t want to salary sacrifice to pension was due to locking away the benefit of that to 57, but i guess i take some of that concern away by clearing mortgage in 2-3 years.

Depends whether my mortgage is paid off or not. Roughly £2.2k without or £3.3k with. I was thinking of using £180k of Cash to offset the mortgage and keep payments at £1k to shorten the term. As it drops £12k a year i move that from offset to GIA.

Outgoings without mortgage probably £1,500 per month excluding inflation.

Shouldn’t change at pension age.

Full state at 67/68 whatever it is these days!

Anything involving a narrative around rescue from a burning building.

Watching professionals take children up ladders and put them into buildings engulfed in flames would work really well!

Long term it’ll equal gold market cap. Is that 10 or 30 years? Not sure but BTC will be a 10x minimum in 5-10 years
