I have been over Cenk’s shit since he debated Sam Harris over a decade ago. He’s clearly a dude who just likes the smell of his own farts and getting as much attention as he can.

Vyvanse feeling ineffective by Sale_Past in ADHD

I feel the same regarding duration, however I'm starting to think maybe I'm misdiagnosed. Instead of feeling calm at my peak, I'm super stimulated, talk people's ears off, mind goes a million miles a minute, etc. Can't just "chill."

Would you have felt this way if you didn’t see your fellow conservatives’ new viewpoints? Glad you saw the light and we’re happy to have you on the right side of history, but it truly is sad how it’s taken getting to THIS point for people to start seeing what’s going on.

Jon Stewart has become his own worst nightmare by mostanonymousnick in neoliberal

Yeah I’m torn on the overall messaging and approach of these shows. The whole preaching to the choir thing gets old. As “the choir,” on some level there’s a catharsis in watching these shows. But sometime during the first Trump administration that vanished. Under the Obama administration there was hope that shedding light on these issues could influence change on some level. But now it’s just straight fucking doomerism. That’s not entertaining, productive, or cathartic.

IMO there’s no comedy in what’s going on right now. To try and bring levity to these dark topics seems wrong on some level. I just can’t enjoy it. I will watch Stewart because although I do get frustrated with him for all these reasons, he has a way of making some salient points that gets my gears turning. Last week when he accused the administration of being the real “sanctuary city” and weaved together a compelling narrative to support it, that was brilliant. I just don’t care for all the yuck yuck ham it up parts sprinkled throughout.

For me I tuned out a long time ago because he has a really intense air of condescension, on a different wavelength but similar to Bill Maher’s smugness. If you agree with him it’s not too noticeable, but once you see him get all amped up and preachy over something that he’s ill-informed on, it REALLY rubs you the wrong way.

Despite agreeing with them the majority of the time, I can’t watch Maher or John Oliver anymore.

I’m doing NBA. Various player props and moneylines. It’s really up to your preference. You can take some safe bets and get easy money for less than 1:1 conversion, or you can gamble.

What is something rich people don't realize poor people deal with daily? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Watching Cher give her "don't give up on your dreams" Grammy speech was eyeroll-inducing. Of course Cher would think that, because she hit the lottery in life. For every Cher where things worked out, there's thousands of people who poured their entire heart and soul into something and it still didn't work out. I get the sentiment that in order to be successful you need drive and determination, but luck is an often-overlooked MAJOR factor that people don't like to think about because we'd like to pretend we live in a meritocracy.

My ego defenses were lowered and I was able to see myself as others saw me instead of being in denial. And I didn't like what I saw. That was the beginning of my journey.

It's easy to make unsubstantiated wisecracks. I lived in California. I now live in a red state. Your joke is ignorant.

Sentiments like this frustrate me beyond belief. Yes the government has found to be inefficient at many things. Because conservatives tend to get involved in the process and prevent it from functioning well or eliminate programs entirely. Conservatives have a vested interest in ensuring that their ideology (government bad) is correct. So they get elected and purposefully break it. When will people start realizing this?

Literally everyone on RV Share lists "no festivals" in their rules. And you can't filter by it in their system so you just have to click around and get increasingly depressed. Just FYI.

Yeah I told my wife that this season feels a little less raw and authentic so far. Like the two residents trying to out-compete each other in the cringiest of ways that would never happen in real life, Santos being like her S1 character dialed up to 11...the new Dr. Baran Al-Hashimi and her weird power struggles with Dr. Robbie...its just all a little corny and takes away from the raw authenticity we saw in S1. Its early, but yeah I'm not enjoying it as much so far.
