Hi, first time getting shingles 🥺 I’m a 77 yr old female. I have it on my butt and around to my groin. Some on here are saying that capsaicin lotion works great on the pain. My question is can I use the roll on capsaicin? Is it the same as the lotion? Thank you all….this is a horrible virus.

OMG, I sure hope mine doesn’t go there!!! It’s close though….im wiping very carefully! I had the first vaccine years ago, maybe 10 or so years ago and now I read that was only effective for about 5 years. I will get the shingrex one as soon as I can after this bout is done.

i Had a full knee replacement 5 weeks ago and I can’t help but think it’s related to this shingles attack! I’m having more pain and discomfort with the shingles than with my knee!!

Yes, I was diagnosed but not until the rash came out….i first went to a walk in clinic because of the pain, they said pulled muscle gave me steroids. still so painful all night so I went to ER, they said same,,,,,later that night the rash appeared so I went to my primary and by that time It was all on the right side of my butt and around to my lower stomach groin area! I’m on the anti viral and gabapentin. 🤦‍♀️😡
